This one was a little rushed, so I apologize for that.

The song for this chapter is "Immortals" by Fall Out Boy. ^_^

Chapter Eight

I jogged down the stairs, meeting Marcel in one of the living rooms. He was watching TV, and I decided to ruin his fun. I ran straight at the couch, hopped over the back of it, and landed in his lap. He let out a grunt as he caught me, then laughed. "You've gained a bit of weight, you know that?"

I gasped, and slapped him over the back of the head. "Shut it! So have you!" I poked his bicep.

He chuckled. "That's pure muscle, baby," he said, then flexed.

I rolled my eyes, then laid back on the couch with my legs laid on his lap. "Whatever." I paused, then asked the question that had been on my mind for a while now. "Celly, have you seen Diego?"

"Why?" He chuckled. "Getting sick of me already? Or do you just have a thing for him?" he winked at me, then laughed.

I smacked his shoulder, and he stopped laughing. "Have you seen him, or not?"

He sighed. "No, I haven't. Maybe Thierry knows where he is," he said, then turned his attention back to his show.

I let out a slightly over exaggerated sigh, and got up. I left the room, walking to the stairs and making my way down them. I was three quarters of the way down when I called out his name. "Thierry!"

He appeared at the bottom of the stairs, seeming slightly distracted. "Yeah?"

He pulled up the collar of his shirt, making himself look absolutely ridiculous. I burst out laughing when I saw why. A purple bruise, which was on it's way to healing, was placed just below his ear lobe.

"Is that a hickey? Are you kidding me?" I asked, still giggling.

He smirked. "Okay, okay. Laugh it up. What do you want?"

I stopped laughing, but continued to smile. "I was wondering if you've seen Diego anywhere."

The smirk faded, and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Actually, I was gonna ask you the same thing. I haven't seen him all day, and I can't find him anywhere."

I bit my lip. "I have a bad feeling about this. If he isn't here, with the three of us, then where the hell is he? He doesn't hang around the others, and if he did, he would have told Marcel."

Thierry swallowed. "You don't think..."

"Someone took him," Marcel growled from the top of the stairs. "And I'm pretty damn sure that I know who."

He held up a small piece of paper, and I inhaled the scent in the air.

"Agnes..." I whispered.

"Come on," Marcel said, going down the stairs and walking towards his office. "We need to locate him."

An hour later, I was using my magic to try and locate Diego, but the cloaking spell was too strong.

See, I knew where they were. They were in a cemetery. Top bad that there are at least five in New Orleans alone. We don't even know if they're still in the city.

"There has to be a way..." Marcel said, flipping through pages of one of the many spell books and grimoires he had gotten his hands on over the years.

I sighed. "There is only one possibility that I can think of right now."

Marcel stared at me, a mixture of hope and fear forming in his eyes. He could tell by my expression that whatever I was about to do could very well cause harm to myself, but could help Diego. I could tell that he was very conflicted by it.
