The clock was running out of time. Staring at the one placed on the other side of the white room, you lazily watched the hands of the clock shift position, showing that another minute passed.

A blanket is covering your freezing body. The room felt cold, too cold for your liking. It made your fingers stiff, and your face felt like glass, something so delicate that could break if you tried to smile. If anything, it felt so cold you would've believed Todoroki blasted some ice in the room.

Still, you remain in the same position, listening to the daunting noise of time clicking and wasting away, thinking a lot about everything occurring. You were on the brink of falling into another mental breakdown, but you were too exhausted for that.

However, you were unaware of the number of people fighting for you.

In a bedroom, plushies bore witness to a pair of siblings staring at various diagrams of the brain. White. Silver. The duo was working hard. Touya read the research, trying to understand the science behind your illness. On the other hand, Eri trained hard, her little horn glowing in golden light as she rewound a ruined vase to its original state.

The two are determined to find a solution, to be your solution. Eri knew she could do it. She just needed time. Touya trusted her sister's quirk. It was similar to yours, a little thing that was aware, alive. It protected its host and recognized the urgency in Eri's concentration. Eri's quirk, in some way, was conscious, and it had bonded with your quirk.

Touya had a theory that if Eri's quirk fused with your power, the two combined could be enough to heal your wounds. Like times before, where your quirk had guided Eri's, it would grab its hand and guide it to the damaged area.

Was Touya willing to risk everything on a theory?

The young adult stared at the framed picture of the trio, back when they were young and trapped in a warehouse. You had given up your life for them before. You had lost yourself in that warehouse, all so that Touya and Eri could live a pain-free life. You were always there protecting them, even when you had been trembling in fear. But you did it for them because you loved them.

So yes, Touya was willing to risk it all on this theory. He needed to because you were counting on him now. As your big brother, he was going to wipe away your tears and give you hope, the same way you had done it for them.

"How are you doing, Eri?"

He pauses his reading, glancing at his baby sister, watching the way the girl stuck her tongue out in concentration, rewinding the vase to a perfect state. It was becoming easier for her. It was starting to feel like second nature.

"I think I got it. Can I try another thing?"

Touya wanted her to experiment on something that had life. Her only experience with healing had been the hero with the glasses, Sir Nighteye. Oh, and the yellow hero with the annoyingly bright smile, Mirio. But those times have been with your help.
