✨Talia✨
6 days till the dance. And I'm crapping myself, Sandy and Chloe both have dates and I have no one! Welp I guess I'm going to be a 3rd wheel when the Dance night comes around.
"Hey! Talia!" An unfamiliar masculine voice called from behind me. I turned to see a tall, muscular, blonde boy running up to me. His hair was spiky and unruly, flopping as he ran. His eyes were a smoky grey blue color. I admit it, he was hot.
"Hey?" I asked uncertainly, he grinned at me and said,
"I'm in your English class, Blake. Blake Conners. I've seen you around and thought you'd be a pretty cool chick to talk to." He smirked down at me, why was I so short? Like couldn't the world bless me with one benefit? I smiled up at him and murmured,
"Cool... do you wanna walk to class together?" He grinned at me again and nodded, his arms brushed mine as we walked and to fill the awkward silence I asked,
"Do you do any sports? You were pretty puffed when you ran up to me." He chuckled a bit before stating,
"I'm in the basketball team, we had just finished practise and I saw you walking by." I nodded and commented,
"Explains your height. Your like 6.4!" I laughed and he joined in and joked,
"Your just short!" I mock glared at him and whined,
"No I'm not! I'm bite sized. Great for hugging!" He chuckled and whispered,
"I might have to see if that's true!" I flushed and cleared my throat before whispering back,
"I'm also good at hiding in tiny spaces." He laughed, deep and husky before ruffling my hair,
"Your funny, Short Stuff." I rolled my eyes and joked back,
"Not too bad yourself Bean Pole." He smirked at me and slung an arm around my shoulder, steering me into our classroom. I blushed as Tara grimaced at the sight of Blake with me, her group all narrowed their eyes as well as he ruffled my hair again, I seriously am going to need to borrow Sandy's hairbrush when I see her,
"See ya at lunch, Shorty?" Blake asked and I looked into his eyes, I smiled and nodded before saying in a sing song voice,
"See ya round, BFG." I walked over to my usual seat whilst he laughed under his breath and went to his own. As I plopped down into the usual uncomfortable chair, Tara whipped around and death stared me, I rolled my eyes and mouthed annoyed, What?.
She whipped back around and continued gossiping with her crew, weirdo bish. I got out my books as Ms. Talita strode in, she looked tired. As if she might fall asleep any minute now. She chugged down her coffee then looked at the class warily. A few long seconds passed before she mumbled,
"Get out your Romeo and Juliet books, read from page 63 to 81. Write a summary on it and what a message in it might be. Write why the author might have written that message. After that... come up to show me then... just go on your phones." The class whooped and hollered before getting to work as Ms. Talita gave us all a stern glare and shouted,
"Silencio!" I opened my book and started to read but after a while it got boring so I drew in my exercise book margin. After a few minutes I heard a voice whisper-hiss at me,
"Oi! Talia!" I peered up from my book to see a guy with curly sandy blonde hair, green eyes, and freckles dusted over his nose grinning at me with his hand outstretched with a slip of pink paper in it.
"From Conners." He whispered and nodded towards the slip of paper, I reached forward, glancing at Ms. Talita as I did, then grabbed it from his hands. He winked at me before turning back to the front.
