"CAW CAW (L/N) (Y/N) YOU ARE NEEDED AT THE UBUYASHIKI ESTATE CAW CAW!" (Y/n)'s old kasugai crowed, (Y/n) looking up to it, before nodding.

He then looked to Obanai, "I'm sorry Obanai, but we will continue this when I return." He stood up, his yukata sleeves falling down, veiling his scars.

Obanai just meekly nodded, (Y/n) going into his estate before coming back out, fully clothes in his uniform, haori, and his katana on his hip.

"I will see you soon Obanai, if you wish to stay, there is a guest room next to Senjuro's. If you need anything, Senjuro will know where to find it." He smiled, "Now I shall be on my way!"

(Y/n) calmly walked up to the Ubuyashiki estate, listening out for anywhere his father, and siblings, could be.

"Hi Nichika!" He greeted, waving at her. His doll like sister too nodded back, before going back to playing ball with her twin.

(Y/n) strode down the familiar hallways, knowing where he was. He basked in the glow of the warm estate, unlike the nipping cold outside. He loved the familiar wisteria scent of the estate, one that brought him such nostalgia.

The floorboards creaked under him as he drew closer to his father's room, before he heard voices.

He reached the room, a slight crack being left in the shoji doors, allowing him to clearly hear what was going on.

(Y/n) listened in on their words.

Kagaya shook his head, "(Y/n) is a kind soul, I fear if he figures this out...he will shut down." Kagaya tried to explain.

"Figures what out? Shut down?" (Y/n) pondered, trying to figure out what they were speaking about.

"Ignorance is bliss."

Kiriya shook his head, (Y/n) listening closely.

"It is worse to be ignorant to your ignorance."

"Ignorant? To what?" He wondered, not liking where the conversation was going.

"Just tell him you are not his biological father, tell him the truth-"

Before (Y/n) could stop himself, his voice spoke before his brain.

"What?"

(Y/n) panted for air, all of a sudden, the smell of wisteria making him feel sick. The scent that used to make him feel so happy and safe, was now suffocating him.

(Y/n) couldn't think straight, panic seeping into his form, making him fall to his knees. He felt tears roll down his cheeks, falling into the dirt and wetting it. He gripped the dirt, dirt getting under his nails, trying to make sense of why this was happening to him.

The moonlight shown on his back, as if it was pitying him.

(Y/n) was hyperventilating, fat tears rolling down his face.

That was, until someone spoke.

"What are you doing?" A monotone voice asked.

(Y/n) gasped and looked up in shock, his heart beating wildly in his chest.

His (e/c) eyes clashed with mint, bored, eyes.

(Y/n) couldn't even muster the words to speak, only sobs wracking his body, looking down and shutting his eyes from the world.

The Mist Hashira didn't seem impressed, just staring down at his fellow Hashira. He felt his annoyance rising, before he decided to speak up.

"Get up." The same bored voice ordered, though (Y/n) made no move to obey. "Are you going to cry all day? Or are you going to help me on the mission we were assigned to?" The Mist Hashira demanded to know, (Y/n) rubbing his nose with his sleeve.

He sniffled a little bit, resisting the urge to cry more.

It was a moment before he trusted his voice to speak and not shake, "...I'm sorry." He mumbled, feeling like a child under the piercing gaze of his fellow Hashira.

Muichiro didn't respond and just walked away, (Y/n) quickly attempting to collect himself.

He stood up on weak legs, trying to ignore the pounding headache that had accumulated while he was crying. His heart was heavy, and his eyes were puffy. But he ignored it all, instead choosing to focus on the job at hand.

He caught up with Muichiro, taking deep breathes to calm himself.

Muichiro didn't react for a second, before he spoke.

"Who are you again?"

"Who are you again?"
