As I walk in the door, I am greeted by a woman sitting behind a desk.

"Hi! What can I do for you?" She asks me.

"Hello! I am here to meet with Levi Sparrow. We have a meeting arranged for 2:00," I explain.

"Oh, you must be y/n. Follow me,"

The woman stands up and guides me to what I assume is his office.

"Wait in here. He will be right with you," she tells me and I nod.

I observe the room as I walk around and run my fingers across the walls and some objects on his desk. The room strongly smells like leather and cologne and is bothering me senses. Beside his desk is a small leather couch, hence the smell. I can see the other few buildings out of the glass wall that faces the outside behind his desk. I'm never in this area and it was a pretty far drive to get here. I just hope it's all worth it.

"Y/n!" A man calls and I spin around to face him a little spooked.

"Oh hi Mr. Sparrow! How are you today?" I ask the man dressed in an all black suit and tie.

"I'm wonderful thank you. And you know you can call me Levi. I've known you forever!" He jokes and I smile releasing the tension and my nerves.

Levi Sparrow was one of my moms best friends. They have been friends since high school so he has seen me grow up on and off. He is also very rich now... I feel bad for not checking in with him after my moms passing because it must have been hard for him too. He seems to be doing well though.

"So, how have you been holding up? Last time I saw you was when? Your mom's funeral?" He asks as he sits in his chair behind the desk. I take a seat in front of him and breath out deeply before answering.

"Uh yeah. It's been a while. I'm doing good actually. I met someone which is part of the reason I am here,"

"Oh yeah?" He gives me a question look.

"Yeah. Do you remember when I bought the farm, you told me if I ever changed my mind or wanted a break for a while you would gladly take it from me?" I ask hopeful that he remembers our conversation.

"I do yes. Has that time come?"

"I think so. I'm not sure what to do. I just know that I'm not enjoying it like I used to. I have always loved photography and never got to follow through with it and would love the opportunity to give it a shot. I'm not sure if it will work out which is why I don't want to sell the farm yet. I think a break is very much needed though. My girlfriend also travels a lot which means I have to stay and take care of the farm without her which sucks. I was just wondering if you could take care of it for me for a while. I fully understand if you can't though," I explain and he paused for a while and I can tell he's thinking deeply.

"Ok here's what I can do. As you know, my son is quite a few years younger than you and has been looking for a job. He loves animals and I am sure he would love to work on the farm for a few months while he looks for another job. Since Christmas is in a few weeks he can start just after that and work until April. Then at that point you can decide if you want to keep the farm or not. How does that sound?" He says leaning back in his chair.

"That sounds absolutely amazing! Thank you so much!" I say excitedly.

"Great. First I need to make sure it is okay with my son. Can I give you a call in a few days?"

"Of course you can!"

"Perfect. Well I have another meeting but it was lovely to see you y/n. I will talk to you in a few days."
