In a world where supernatural creatures exist, and run wild. There are rules put to place by the council   to keep each creature safe, and somewhat controlled. There is one main rule that must not ever be broken... it's that no supernatural creature ever overly exposes themselves to the humans. That rule was put in place to keep the humans out of the loop, because if they gain knowledge and learn about the world beyond their imagination then the hunters will rise once again. If this rule is broken then the one who exposed themselves will be put to death, along with the human. It sounds cruel but it's the only way to make sure the hunters don't ever rise.

Humans used to have knowledge about all of the creatures, and for a while there was peace and an understanding. Until suddenly there wasn't. A group of humans grew fearful, and fear eventually turned to hate....and then the hunters came. They made their first appearance centuries ago, and their bloodline kept them alive. They trained their children, and grandchildren to hate and fear what they didn't understand. They killed any creature who dare step onto their land.

One day the leader of the hunters found out that his wife couldn't give him a child to pass his legacy down too. So they trapped a witch, and forced her to perform a spell. A spell that would make them somehow immortal, so that he never had to worry about his bloodline dying off. After the witch preformed the spell it is said that the hunters murdered her, so no creature could ever possibly be fully rid of them. Because if no one knew the spell.. then no one could undo the spell.

The hunters used their immortality to kill every creature they came across, and when that wasn't enough they hunted them down one by one.
They had almost wiped out every creature completely... Until they came across him.

They killed his family, and everyone he knew.

Something new was born that day, out of nothing but pure brokenness. It is believed that the four elders gifted him with extraordinary strength, and power from each of them. Because he alone was able to temporarily kill the whole group of hunters. As it turns out the witch placed a loop hole in her spell, in hopes that one day someone would be able to stop them. He was that someone. Although the hunters are technically immortal, they are laid to rest. They will only come back to life when a handful of humans start to fear the supernatural again.

As for him. Well he's the only reason creatures still exist today. Some say he became a God, and others call him monster.

No one really knows the truth because nobody has seen him since that day. He may be dead..but if he's alive then he's the oldest creature living. Meaning if he wasn't already the strongest, then he would be now. It has never even been said what kind of creature he is. No one even seems to know his name, and if they do then they don't speak it.

Maybe it's because it is rumored that he went into a rage after killing the hunters, and that he would kill anyone who stood in his path. No one really knows.

The council are the only ones who seem to know anything about him, and what they do know they tend to keep secret. Just like everything else.

The council is there to try and keep the creatures in order to make sure each bloodline can continue even including humans. They keep everything balanced, although sometimes their methods can be extreme.. they are still effective. The council are a collective group —— an older and very powerful witch named Morgana, a strange warlock named Remus, the oldest vampire still alive whose name is Alistair, a werewolf whose the Alpha of the only pack in America his name is Rollin, and the only demon left on earth his name is Alonso.

Now there are other supernatural creatures, but they aren't as powerful or as populated. It's rare to see them— however as far as everyone knows they are still under the councils protection as well ; even though they don't have their own representative on the council.

The council itself was originally assembled by the four elders to keep order.

The four elders are gone from this earth, but they still watch over each creature. They were each the most powerful of their kind, and some believe that's why they were chosen to be what they are. We don't know who chose them exactly, we just believe it's something or someone greater. No one knows for sure who the elders are, but they are believed to now be like angels in some sense...and no one not even the council has contact with them.
No one is even sure if it's possible to do that...
and maybe it's not.

Maybe we'll never know....

You see...
Every story you've heard about this world has a little bit of truth to it. Garlic doesn't keep the vampires away, but a stake to the chest will. This theory came about because they originated in Italy, and then traveled to America. It's a stupid myth but it seems to be the running joke in the vampire community.

Salt doesn't keep witches away, but twisting their necks will. This theory came about because witches in the olden world never owned salt because they would grow their own seasonings and herbs, so everyone assumed it would keep them away because they had never seen them near it.

Wolfsbane has a better chance to kill humans than to actually even weaken a wolf, sliver is always the best defense against werewolves. That theory came about because werewolves tend to stay away from it, not because it weakens them but because it's too strong to their heightened senses...and it doesn't smell the greatest.

The list goes on and on with made up theories, however there's always a little truth to them all.

And although the creatures live amongst the humans peacefully ; the truth is that every creature is highly dangerous, and in the right circumstance they should be greatly feared.

Regardless of what you hear.
