Escaping Asgard

Everyone piled into the ship and took their seats. Everyone except Loki and Thor. Hilde was flying and it was decided that I would get the co-pilots chair since it was the safest seat in the aircraft. Loki and Thor stood behind us to watch as Hilde pulled the ship to the hangar's closed door. We all looked at Loki since he had the code.

"Now, the doors are very loud when they open. I was able to bypass the alarm, but the door will be an alarm in itself." Loki explained and reached forward between the seats to touch the keypad.

"Fly fast, got it." Hilde nodded and mentally prepared herself. She started smiling when the doors started to open.  I think she really missed flying.

As soon as the doors opened a few feet, Hilde excelled straight for them. Thor fell back while Loki stumbled and caught himself on my seat.

"What are you doing? We'll crash!" Loki accused.

"No, we won't." Hilde told him, going full speed at the still opening doors.

"You're a mad woman!" Loki cursed at her and would have lunged for the wheel if I hadn't grabbed his hand.

"She knows what she's doing." I assured him. And, I was right. We bumped the top of the ship on the top door, but we made it through in one piece.

Hilde immediately turned us up into the sky. She didn't want to go through the obstacles of the city if we weren't being chased. For now, we stayed up in the clouds. We only needed twenty minutes to be over the waterfalls of Asgard and into deep space. If there weren't so many people, we would go into hyper speed, unfortunately it wasn't an option, and we weren't as lucky.

Within eight minutes, we had Asgardian ships on our tail. They were trying to box us in and Hilde and I had to keep fending Loki off when he tried to get to the controls. One look in Thors direction and he grabbed Loki to restrain him in one of the seats.

Bruce looked terrified as we dodged other ships fire. All we had to do was make it passed the falls, none of the ships could follow after that. Asgardian ships weren't made to withstand that amount of gravity shift. Not like ours was. We just had to stay ahead of them.

"Should we start hitting buttons again?" Bruce asked nervously with wide eyes.

"No!" Hilde and I both snapped back at him. We definitely shouldn't be hitting random buttons of the alien spaceship.

"Then, can we do something? They're catching up!"

"I am doing something!" Hilde yelled back at him.

"You're not going to Hulk out on us, are you?" I asked in slight concern and looked over my shoulder as the ship rocked me in my seat.

"I don't think so." Bruce said.

"'I don't think so' is not sure statement!" I yelled back. "Thor! Make sure he doesn't Hulk out!"

"What am I supposed to do with Loki?" He asked me.

"I'm not a child. I don't need to be watched." Loki hissed at his brother and smacked his hands away.

"No? Then, why do you act like one?" Thor asked him. Bruce was completely forgotten by the two as they started to bicker.

"Hey!" I yelled and turned my head to glare at them. "Focus!"

"Sorry," they both said as they hung their heads.

"Shit, everybody hold on!" Hilde called out and pulled a lever that jerked us to a stop and before we nose dived down into a tight canyon. After the initial opening, it opened up a bit, but it was still an incredibly tight space. We still had to fly sideways until there was another opening in the crust for our ship to emerge from.

"Oh, my god, I'm going to have a heart attack." Bruce panted as we leveled out again. He held a dramatic hand to his chest while he breathed. We had lost any Asgardian ships for now, but that didn't mean we relaxed.

"Is it possible for you to have a heart attack?" I asked out loud. It was quiet in the back as everyone thought about the question.

"I...I don't think so." Bruce admitted.

"Then, you have nothing to worry about." Hilde shrugged. We were finally passed the shoreline and flying over the water. Our new obstacle were the turrets that fired from the rainbow bridge and mountains on either side of us.

"When did they get those?" Thor questioned as he leaned forward between my and Hilde's seats to look out the window.

"I bet Odin created them using the tesseract to stop any attempts of Sammee trying to leave." Loki said, his words full of hate.

"We don't know that for sure." Thor sighed in response.

"Wake up, Thor! He threw you in prison to rot while his stole Sammee's life force straight from her veins. What more does he have to do for you to open your eyes?" Loki practically yelled.

"My eyes are open!" Thor snapped. "But, this isn't the man we grew up with."

"No, this isn't the man 'you' grew up with. I've always known he was that man." Loki told him. Thor didn't respond and looked down before looking back out the windows. Loki looked like he might say something else, but the ship jerked forward instead. Luckily, we still had our shields intact, plus this ship was made of hard metal armor for protection.

"Is anyone checking to make sure Bruce is ok?" I asked.

"Bruce is fine." Bruce said for himself. "Just feeling a little nauseous."

"If you puke in this ship, I will throw you out the window to swim to Midgard!" Hilde threatened even though we all knew it wasn't actually possible to swim to Midgard from here.

"I can see the edge!" Thor shouted out and pointed.

"Great!" Hilde said sarcastically. "Now, sit down!" She yelled and pushed him back, so he wasn't leaning between our seats anymore.

"Are Korg and Miek ok?" I asked.

"We're just fine, Sammee! We're just playing pick up stick." Korg responded from the very back. "Though, it is a bit difficult since the ship keeps moving. Miek has won every round." I snorted at the first half of his sentence, but looked confused at the second. How is Miek winning every time?

"Almost there!" Hilde called out as we jerked to the side this time.

"Could we go into hyperspace from here? There are no people around." Thor asked.

"No, you oaf. If we do that it will create a wave and wipe out the lower ring of the kingdom." Loki rolled his eyes at him. "We have to make it completely out of Asgard before then."

"Then, can we move any faster?" Thor asked Hilde who growled at his question.

"Thor, sit down and stop asking questions before Hilde kills you." I told him. Thor looked offended, but took his seat next to Bruce behind Hilde's seat while Loki was by himself behind mine. The ship jerked forward when we were hit again before Thor fully buckled himself in. He wasn't ready for the sudden movement and fell forward, faceplanting into the back of Hilde's chair.

"I'll give you a hundred gold if you do that again." Loki immediately said to Hilde. I chuckled softly into my hand as Thor pulled himself off the floor.

"It's not funny." He grumbled and fixed his tunic.

"Sure," Loki told him, though I could hear the sarcasm behind the word.

Another hit jerked us forward and we all looked up to see Hilde fly straight passed the falls and into open space. We all cheered and praised Hilde for getting us out safe. Before we got too far, I flipped off Asgard for good measure as Hilde propelled us into hyperspace.

And with that, they're out of Asgard and that's the end of this arc. We are now in the Infinity War arc... good luck.
