A/N: Apart from school, this is the cause of my two weeks of inactivity. Actually, can we take a moment to appreciate how I managed to squeeze in 6000 words between assignments? It got so long that I had to divide it into 4 chapters. Anyways, this was partly inspired by a zombie-apocalypse-style dream that I had, but don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds!

"Hey, you! Is it ready yet?"

"Yes sir! The devices have been programmed and the weapons fine-tuned. Everything is ready to go, sir."

"Good, very good. Prepare the spaceship. We start in one hour."

"Yes sir!"

The elemental siblings and their friends were having lunch together after coming back from yet another standard mission. Blaze alternated between eating his chicken, poking Ice to stop the latter from falling asleep, and teasing Halilintar and Solar with his fellow troublemakers.

It was just another normal day at TAPOPS station; nothing odd was going on, nothing at all. The cafeteria workers glided around, serving food and cleaning tables. TAPOPS members sat scattered throughout the room, eating and chatting with each other. An Alien Mop ran past the open doors with guards shouting and chasing him - wait, what?

At the commotion, everyone turned towards the doors. Curious, Blaze got up and ran to the doorway, where he discovered that his eyes had not been deceiving him: some ways down the passage, the Alien Mop was being handcuffed and led away. In confusion, he turned to his brothers and friends, who had followed him.

"That's not normal, is it?"

Fang shook his head, confused gaze on the Mop, "Alien Mops are usually pretty obedient. They're not the type to do something that would get them arrested by their own organization."

"But then, what was that all about?" Yaya voiced everyone's thoughts. Of course, no one could answer her.

Suddenly, the P.A. speaker crackled and came to life, "Team Kokotaim, please report to main control." *1

Upon entering the room, everyone lined up and saluted.

"Reporting for duty, Admiral!" Gempa announced.

"At ease," Admiral Tarung dismissed them. Just then, a bell rang to signal the end of lunch break.

"Er... Why are we here, Admiral?" Gopal dared to ask. It seemed he wasn't taking too kindly to having to abandon his lunch.

Thankfully, the Admiral didn't explode, "We have just received reports of a break-in. However, the precise location is unknown, as is the intruder. You are to patrol the station and, hopefully, catch whoever is behind this. You will stay together, just in case. Is that clear?"

Another normal mission, it seemed. As one, the cadets and lance corporals saluted, "Crystal, Admiral!"

"Good. Now get going!"

***

"You guys have any idea who the intruder might be?" Gempa asked conversationally as they patrolled the lower levels of the station.

"Probably some wannabe Power Sphera thief who found out about our cover, again," Ying muttered, "Seriously, why does TAPOPS bother disguising itself as a laundromat if all the criminals already know about it?"

They paused outside a storage room. Fang pressed a button to open the door, and he and Gempa led the group inside to inspect it.

Before they had taken more than two steps, there was a rustling from a dark corner. They immediately fell into defensive stances.
