Jesse Waldock: "Brother's Alternative Storyline... If Jinx had stayed with Nico, Liang and Upa under building 5, instead of going down with the others."
Liang: "Jyugo, would you mind opening the lock for us please?"
Jyugo: "Sure."
Liang: "Building 5 is our responsibility. Go on. Leave Rokuriki to us."
Upa: "You can take the rest of the levels without us."
Jinx: "Say what?!"
Jyugo: "Why would we?"
Nico: "There's no way we'll abandon you, master!"
Upa: "It's necessary that Liang and I take care of things here. Most of you would slow us down anyway. I'd rather not get killed this evening if we can help it."
Liang: "An escape artist, gambler, sick fanboy, two dandies and a little girl would be useless."
Uno & Honey: "Stop being prejudice!!"
I suddenly noticed Nico go back around the corner by himself. I followed him.
Jinx: "Nico?"
He turned to me.
Nico: "Oh no..."
Jinx: "What are you doing back here?"
Nico: "Jinx, you have to go back with the others."
Jinx: "What are you saying?"
Nico: "Go downstairs with Jyugo and Uno."
Jinx: "And... what about you?"
Nico: "I... I'm..."
My eyes widened as I realised exactly what he was doing.
Jinx: "You're planning on staying too, aren't you?"
Nico: "I want... I want to make sure master stays safe."
Jinx: "Nico, they'll be fine. It's you I'm worried about. Your health has been going downhill since you lost your medicine. You can't pretend anymore."
Nico: "Please, Jinx, just go downstairs with the others."
He tried to push me back around the corner, but I stubbornly wrapped my arms around him.
Jinx: "No. I'm not leaving you up here by yourself."
Nico: "Jinx, go. You have too."
Jinx: "I'm not going anywhere. If you're staying, then so am I."
Nico: "Come on, they're about to-"
Liang: "Upa."
Nico and I stared around the corner as Upa shot a Qigong beam above the door. Rubble fell, blocking any way down.
Nico: "*sigh* I wish you had gone with them..."
Jinx: "It's too late for that now."
I could hear his shaky breathing.
Jinx: "You're not the only one who wants to make sure they're safe."
Nico: "Jinx... without my meds, I'm only going to get worse... I didn't want you here to see."
I gave him a reassuring smile.
