"This is how I feel about you, Duke," King Ray stares at his relative in the eyes, "You are not more important than my beloved, Duke. Family or not, for you people who have hurt my most beloved wife, I will never forgive," with resolution in his gaze, King Ray swears vengeance on those who harmed Queen Viola

Duke Wolfberry quiets down, losing his strength to talk sense into King Ray who is in too much grief and rage. Duke Wolfberry does not think he is wrong, but he does think: that perhaps, if he has sent someone to protect the Queen to prevent a tragedy...

After all, even if the Queen might still end up injured, at least, she would still be alive.

Nevertheless, these soldiers are the King's Knights, and they will listen to the King alone. If it were not to protect the Castle, Duke Wolfberry wouldn't have been able to displace these Knights to fight the variant beasts.

Inhaling deeply, Duke Wolfberry mounts the horse again, going back to the Castle. Since he couldn't stop His Majesty the King, he should at least go back to check on his relatives. Why would they do these foolish things, going so far as to harm the Queen?

Before Duke Wolfberry sets off, King Ray's voice floats over to his ear, "Do you know? They have been poisoning me and my wife through the person you recommended. It is only because of my power of [Sun] that I am still standing here, at this moment,"

Duke Wolfberry glances at King Ray, who is not looking back at him. Pursing his lips, Duke Wolfberry sets off, back to the Castle. He knows some of their relatives are still there, when their houses are raided by King Ray. Duke Wolfberry doesn't know how he can repair their relationship that has been broken into this stage.

Why.

Why can't everyone just get along?

King Ray snorts at his relative's naivety as he watches this relative leave on the horse. It's acceptable to think beautifully of everything or anyone, as long as 1 does not compromise reality. Shaking his head, King Ray walks to his Knights and tells them, "Next place,"

The Knights glance inside the mansion where the variant beasts are wreaking havoc whilst the private guards are dealing with the beasts. Judging that these guards are able to hold back these beasts, they move to the next house, whilst also contacting other teams that are sent to track down the escaping variant beasts.

"Your Majesty," 1 of the intelligent team member comes to King Ray's side to report, "The City Guards have been informed and are also sent to track down the variant beasts,"

King Ray nods, whilst also giving an order, "Spread the words: this is all because of Duke Wolfberry,"

The Knight blinks at King Ray for a moment before nodding his head and saluting, "It will be done!"

King Ray watches as the Knights follow his orders without question, executing his instructions to the end as flawlessly as possible. King Ray knows some of them might not agree with his decrees, but they have already realised their fault in following Duke Wolfberry's order as the King's Knights, even for emergency situations, and failed to report to their Chief Commander in time. No matter who they entrusted to deliver the message, they should have double-checked whether the news reached the intended.

Releasing a sigh, King Ray no longer laments about the past. After all, the subordinates with good heads on their shoulders are sent out on an expedition. These leftovers... He just needs to make sure they do their job well as per his will.

There's another sound that disturbs the quietness of the rain. King Ray turns his head to look at the carriage that is coming his way. From the emblem on the carriage, King Ray knows who that person is. Duke Lanchester is here.
