Rin had avoided contact with you as much as possible the following morning, up until he had to leave for practice. It was better than his original plan, which was to fire you - but with how attached the kids were, he just couldn't do that to them so suddenly.

He did his best to stay out of your way, minimal words exchanged as you handed him his breakfast to go, stopping only to kiss his kids goodbye and wish them a good day at school.

No matter how hard you tried to not let it effect you, it wasn't so easily brushed off. You found yourself feeling sick, the dreadful feeling of embarrassment and rejection making it's home in the pit of your stomach. If only to make matters worse, tonight was the night of your so called 'family meeting.'

You had no idea what kind of scheme your father was planning, but you knew it must be something major for him to have someone track your whereabouts so that he could personally deliver this unwarranted invitation.

You'd pondered about what he said - that you may bring a guest, if you wished. A big part of you thought it best to just go alone. No one knew much about your family, except Kiyoko. You hid them as much as possible, even from Yuji. It was simply just a part of your life that you kept locked away.

Truth be told, you were scared. You didn't want to face them alone - you couldn't.

So, you picked up your phone and texted the only person you could bring in this situation. Atleast, the only one that would've made sense for this particular situation. You only hoped he would be able to attend in such short notice, or else you'd have to stomach it on your own
