Chapter seven: in the hospital bed

Y/N POV:
I start to open my eyes but immediately close them shut again because of the lights only making out that I was in the hospital wing
"What are you trying to do? Blind me? Turn down the lights" I say weakly

"Oh thank god your ok" I heard Pansy say

"Yeah I couldn't take another day of Mattheo worrying about you. It was practically all he talked about."

"Shut up Tom" Mattheo said making me chuckle weakly sitting up a little more

"Aww you were worried about me" I say mockingly making everyone laugh

"How long was I out for?" I say still trying to adjust my eyes to the light

"Couple days" Theo says

"what did I miss?" I ask

"Well the triwizard cup chose the champions" Blaise says

"Oh yeah? who?" I ask

"Victor crumb for Durmatramg, Fleur Delcour for Beauxbatons, and Cedric Diggory for Hogwarts" Pansy says

"Don't forget pOttAH" Draco adds

"What do you mean?" I ask

"There were more then three champions this year" Theo says

"How?" I ask

"We don't know" Pansy says

"But of course pottah is the one to get chosen" Draco said sounding pissed off

"Your obsession with that kid is starting to get unhealthy" I say

"Shut up I'm not obsessed with him" he says back quickly

"You sure about that?" I say looking him up and down

"Yes I'm-

"So when can I get out of here?" I cut him off

"Hopefully later today if your feeling well enough" madam pomfry says appearing out of the blue handing me a potion and gesturing for me to drink it

"Good because I don't want to stay here I'm bored" I say Causing her to chuckle

*time skip to later that day when everyone left to go to bed but I'm stuck in the hospital wing because I'm still sick*

"Hey" I here someone whisper

"Hello?" I whisper back

"Hi" Mattheo says sneaking into the curtains that are covering my bed and sitting down on the floor next to me

"Oh hey Mattheo what are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to check on you to make sure your ok and to apologize" he says sounding guilty

"What for?" I ask

"For not letting you explain yourself before when-

"Oh yeah.. that" I say

"That.." he says looking down

There's was an awkward silence for the following few minutes before I broke it

"It's alright you couldn't have known.." I say putting my hand on his shoulder He looked at my hand then looked back up at me

"By the way what did Theo tell you?" I ask nervously looking away

"Well that your mom died and you ODed by accident trying to make yourself feel better" he says rubbing the back of his neck

See this is why we love Theo

"well I- I should probably go then" he says getting up

"No staaay it's so lonely here" I say grabbing his hand and tugging on it

"Fine but only for a little longer he says sitting back down where he was before still holding onto my hand

*After a few minutes I fell asleep*

Mattheo's POV:

She looks so peaceful sleeping

I still feel bad about getting mad at her earlier, if I would have known then I wouldn't have reacted like that, but I didn't...

I should probably leave now

"Good night beautiful" I whisper kissing her hand and letting go of it
