"Is it he or she?" Hoseok asks. They were sitting on the bank of a river on their way to the base camp.

"I don't know. I found out I was pregnant when we were on the run," she says. "There was someone else with you?" He puts two packs of ramen in the boiling pot.

"My brother. We were supposed to get to the base camp together but the blue eyes got him," she says. There is a stiffness in her voice that doesn't go unnoticed by Hoseok.

"Fucking blue eyes. They shouldn't have been invented in the first place," Hoseok hisses as he watches the steam rise from the bowl. "I mean the person who wrote the code is supposed to know how to fix them right? How many lives are lost..." her voice goes hoarse at the end.

"We were on a video call when it happened. She was showing me the new home we bought. Charlie was fine. He looked fine. Maybe I shouldn't have asked her to take him with her that day. He slashed her throat right in front of my eyes. I couldn't do anything. I just couldn't," he closes his fist. "We were supposed to get married."

"I'm sorry, I can only imagine how you must have felt," Deiji says. "I've grieved and grieved for her. I don't have any more strength left in me. I just decided to remember our happy times rather than the incident," he takes the pot off the fire.

Somehow, oddly that made sense. Remembering the happy times rather than the traumatic incident seemed much healthier. But can she do that? She notices how he puts in larger portions of food on her plate. Maybe Seokjin would have done the same if he was there. She doesn't even know where he is. The disaster was too big to even find time to call him.

"Thank you Hoseok," she smiles.
