Chapter 28

Vashisht's Pov

Thank you, Dr. I murmured something and hung up the phone.

I approached her and sat on the bed, catching her hands in mine just as I noticed some medications on the table.

Was she in any way ill?

What medications were they, exactly?

When I picked them up, I was taken aback to see that they were sleeping pills. Why was she taking drugs? Was it because of me? How could I be so cruel if I couldn't see her suffering? I sat alongside her, staring at her face, and all I could think about was the anguish I had caused her. How could I be so selfish, how could I just cause sorrow to such a lovely person? I was simply holding her hands when tears started streaming down my face.

My eyes opened as I heard the alarm clock ringing at 5 a.m. I got up and turned off the alarm, then noticed that a blanket had been raped on me. I turned to look towards her, but was surprised to find her unwear on the bed. I got up and began searching for her, thinking she might be in the bathroom, but she was nowhere to be found. I went downstairs to search for her, but she wasn't in the kitchen, nor in the study room, nor anywhere else I couldn't understand what to do so I started calling advik

I sat down and tried to think of where she may go. I even called her friends and parents, but no one knew where she was. Then Advik came in and I hugged him because I knew I was in a complete mess and that only my bestfriend could assist me.

He simply patted my back and asked, "What happened?" I broke the hug and began telling him everything as I spoke to him. I could watch his countenance shift from astonished to angry to petty as I spoke to him.

How could you possibly believe she is your life's love, I am your bestfriend, and you trusted that dam girl more than us, and she is also like a sister to me. And, as if you didn't know, I've only ever loved one person in my life, Shanaya. He eventually stopped  hitting me and told me, "You will stay away from my sister, you will get divorce papers, just sign them and stay away from my sister,"   What do you think of yourself do you even know what happened 5 years ago why she had to leave you you just assumed things and kept torturing her you made her life miserable she left you for your safety my dad belongs to a so called traditional family so he didnt allow us dating she was in love with you she wanted to marry you but because my dad threatened her that if she married you she would see your dead face the next morning all this years she was trying to save you from yourself    

All these years she was trying to save you from my father she even agreed to marry a stranger just for your safety she was the happiest person when she found out she was getting married to you but what you did in return what you gave her only pain do you even know what her condition is right now she has been taking sleeping pills she has been in depprission since the day you married her   just stay away from her he said and he left the house, leaving me stunned.

 He left me speechless, and I assumed she had betrayed me. However, everything has changed, and she was simply attempting to protect me from her father, who was attempting to kill me.

I was in so much pain in my heart that I began crying. I wasn't able to stand on  my own    legs , and I felt as if I couldn't live without her.

 Control your emotions, Vashisht. She will never leave you she loves you more than anyone else but you have to solve things between you two I cant see you like this I want you to give her all the love that she deserves please don't make the same mistake I did she won't forgive me but adiraa will definitely forgive you he said with regret in his eyes
