Marinette stood on her balcony that night.
"Tikki! You saw that, right?" she sighed again. "We KISSED!"
"Marinette, I had a front row seat," Tikki snickered.
"I still can't believe it!" shouted Marinette, into the dark, Paris sky.
"Can't believe what?" asked a handsome voice from a good distance away.
Marinette hissed, "Hide, Tikki!" just before Cat Noir prowled into view.
"Hello, Marinette," he said. "Would you care if I asked- well- needed some love advice? I hear you're the go-to for it."
Marinette said, "You helped me once. I can help you. So, is something up with your lady?"
"No," answered the hero. "I actually kissed a girl under the mask."
"Good for you!" replied Marinette.
"Not really," Cat Noir whimpered. "I don't know what to think. I love Ladybug, but I love the girl I kissed, too." He lay his head on the bars of the balcony, indifferently.
"Follow your heart, kitty. . .Cat Noir!" urged Marinette.
"My heart isn't on a path, Marinette. How can I follow it?"
"Maybe it's time you learned how to go off-road?" Marinette suggested. "Talk about something else."
"What do you mean?" asked Cat Noir.
"Sit down," said Marinette, pulling up two chairs.
"So what's the plan, Buttercup-lover?" asked Cat Noir.
"DON'T call me that!" roared Marinette. "What's your favorite color?"
Cat Noir hesitated before saying, "Green."
"Favorite food?"
"Your macarons, easy," said Cat Noir. "But what's the point of this? I mean, you can't exactly be interviewing me, because there isn't a recording. . ."
"No, but I am taking notes to submit to Le Blog De Noir, which I am about to publish."
Cat Noir perked up.
"Or to get your mind off girls and heroes," giggled Marinette. "Probably both. Favorite movie?"
"Solitude," answered the cat, a bit too quickly.
Marinette didn't notice. "Favorite animal?"
"Not sure," said Cat Noir. "Do insects count?"
"I should've guessed 'ladybug', shouldn't have I?" laughed Marinette.
They continued talking for the rest of the night, until about 2:00. Soon, they were saying there farewells, and Cat Noir was about to leave.
"Thanks, Marinette," he said. "Keep an ear out for me, will you?"
Marinette nodded, as he fell into the Paris night.
"That was clever," squealed Tikki. "Cat Noir doesn't get worshiped like you do; I bet he loved that!"
"Tikki, you just gave me a good idea," grinned Marinette.
