Remember

Caitlin was stuck in her room. She had managed to sneak in and out, without anyone realising. Thomas had no idea that she had met someone secretly in a cafe

"Caitlin, look at this" Thomas said, entering her room

Caitlin quickly grabbed the newspaper and read it. She let it fall to the ground in disbelief 

"See, the one you cry over every day, he's not worth it. He's getting engaged to someone else. He obviously doesn't care about you anymore. So why are you being so stubborn? Why are you wasting your life over him?"

"Because I love him. And he loves me. He's upset because he doesn't know why I did what I did"

"But he's getting married"

"Exactly. Good for him. He thinks I'm unfaithful, that I don't want him. But he doesn't realise all I want for him is to be happy, and if that's not with me, then so be it"

Thomas left the room, shaking his head. What had happened to his daughter? Was she that willing to destroy her life for Barry? He wouldn't let that happen 

Caitlin breathed a sigh of relief after her dad left

"Barry, I love you. I remember every vow and promise that we made together. But I can't risk your life. I hope you understand"

Caitlins aunt went to check on her, after noticing she hadn't come out of her room. She saw Caitlin lying unconscious. She ran over to her

"Caitlin honey, wake up. That's a good girl. Come on. If not for me, for Barry"

Nothing. She felt for a pulse, and found a weak one. She shook Caitlin 

"Aunty, what are you doing?"

"Oh you are alive. Thank goodness"

"What? You thought I was dead? That I had killed myself? No, I was just feeling sleepy, so I had a nap"

"You were unconscious. I thought that you had done something stupid"

"No. I could never kill myself. This life god gave me and only he can take it away. Sure it hurts, but god is testing me. I believe he will reunite me with Barry"

Caitlins aunt sneaked out of the house. Enough was enough. She couldn't bear to see her niece like this. She ran to a house that she'd never thought she'd visit again

"Hello joe" she said as he opened the door

Joe just stared at her. It was like no time had passed. Two old loves reunited 

"I'd never thought I'd see you again"

"Yes. I know what my brother did was awful"

"Awful? He ruined my life"

"I know and I'm sorry about that"

"Sorry? Sorry? You have no idea. Can you bring those lost years back? Such a big punishment for falling in love with you"

"I know and im really sorry. I can't bring it back. But it worked out well in the end, because you met Nora"

"Why are you here?"

"Why'd you think?"

"Look, there's nothing to say. Caitlin made her choice. She's hurt my son enough"
