Athaniel's POV

"Alex! Even though Athaniel's not my Kid I still love him, I want him to be part of this family Our Family, even though my child will not have the Crown, she will at least have a big brother to watch over her!"

'Our Family? She considers me as her family?' I just stood there at the slightly opened door

"But what if he treats them badly! No one knows if he is just pretending! How can you be so sure about that?"

'No! I would never treat them badly! I'll always care for them no matter what!'

"No Buts Alex! How could a kid learn to pretend like that if they're only three! Alex I'm dying soon and all my child will have left is them! Like how I only had you when we were young! Can't you see that?!" She said as she used her hand to wipe her tears

"What? Dia she said she's... Dying!? Nonono-" Alex Thought

"What? Dia... Nonono- Im sorry I-i didn't know... Please don't cry, I should be the one that's sad, you're the one dying" He said as he hugged her again, Tears flowing down his face

'Okay now this... This is getting awkward... Should I leave first? Or should I stay? You know what let's just leave' I thought as I quietly opened the door and tiptoed outside the room clearly forgetting about his magic

"It's ok Alex, but I really need to go now the party is about to start" She froze as she remembered-

"Athaniel! Where's Athaniel?!?" She said as she pulled out of the hug and looked around, and in the bathroom

'Athaniel? Is that the kids name? Wait a second... He was still here? Oh god don't tell he he was watching us' Alex though as he looked around

While the person they were looking for was already Infront of the ballroom door

After I walked out of the room I started walking toward the ballroom, but as you might know it was very boring walking through the same hallways over and over again

Sure it may be interesting at first, but as you see it almost every day for three whole years it could get kinda boring you know? So I like to change it up a bit everytime I walk through here to see if anybody could tell the difference

Unfortunately for me No One has figured out the differences yet, they all thought they had just forgotten about it and just continued on with their day, so I started doing more and more noticeable changes

So now you could tell there was something different each time you pass through here, I think they now call the hallways here the "Ever changing hallways of Obelia" which is kinda funny cause they couldn't find the reason why it keeps changing

Even though they know someone is using their magic to change it, they can't find out who cause like who would admit it? And who would question their Three-Years Old Prince who hasn't even started classes yet?

If this place ever got released into the public I think they might make this a popular tourist attraction which probably would never happen considering Claude and his attitude towards people he doesn't care about much

Anyways as soon as I knew it I arrived outside the ballroom door, not before Changing a few things here and there, like inverting the colors of painting and saw that Felix and the Herald were standing outside the door

"Blessings and glory upon the Second Sun of the Obelian Empire" They both said bowing a little

"Your Highness! You've come at last! As soon as you are ready I shall announce that you have arrived to His Majesty so he can announce your presence to the Nobles" The Herald said
