Your laughter grew, and it resonated throughout the house, frightening those around you. Mirabel and Abuela had quit their bickering, and they turned their heads toward you.

"(Y/N)?..." Camilo called out, reaching for your arm.

Gently grabbing your arm, he removed it, revealing the demonic look on your face. Not only had your face looked demonic, but the look was also in your eyes, which had shone a bright white.

Your eye had adverted to Camilo, staring right at him, resulting in him flinching and backing away. The blackness had consumed your entire face, along with your entire body.

"You had your chance... but you were too late." You spoke, but the voice wasn't yours.

It was a combination of a million different other voices, with your voice being the most dominant. Your pupils had finally disappeared, your eyes now shining a pure, blinding white.

But after a second, it changed back into your normal eyes. Your blinking, wide eyes stared up at Camilo in a desperate need for help.

Struggling, you tried so hard to reach your arm out towards him. It was a mental battle against the evilness and darkness that was trying to take over you. And sadly, it had won, leaving your arm to retreat to the side of your body.

"Agh!" You yelled, struggling to stand up and stumbling all over the place.

"Help!.. me-" Your voice strained, trying to fight the corruption.

Clawing at your face, you cried as the loud silence took over your mind. Memories that were not familiar to you flooded into your head.

"Help-!" Pain and agony laced your cries for help in an attempt to escape the torturous control of this entity.

Abuela stood frozen and paralyzed. Her eyes were wide and filled with fear as she witnessed the event that was happening before her.

"(Y/N)?..." Mirabel gasped, wanting to help you, but didn't know how, so the only thing she could do was watch.

Abuela had feared this would happen. She knew right from the very start when she saw Bruno's vision.

Many regrets had filled her mind as she stood there, contemplating. She never should've met your grandmother. She never should've let you live in the house. She never should've let you step foot onto the encanto...

But that all didn't matter to her right now. What mattered was that she and the rest of the Madrigals made it out of the house safe, alive, and away from you...

Your last call for help was incoherent as thick, black ooze dripped down from your body. The ooze had shaped itself into a dome like casing, encasing your entire being.

The rumbling and cracking had grown, it being too much for Casita to handle. A crack had formed in the floor, splitting it into two. The Madrigals were on one side and you were on the other.

Another gigantic crack began its way toward the candle and Tía Pepa gasped as she saw it.

Her eyes widened, and she covered her mouth in horror with her hands. "No, no, no!" She yelled, waving them.

Tío Félix gasped as well. "The candle!"

The cracks had destroyed the structure of the wall and window sill, knocking the candle over.

Everybody grunted as the terrain became unstable. They held onto each other as to make sure nobody fell. Mirabel hesitated, staring up at the candle, and she dashed towards it to retrieve it.

"Mirabel!" Tía Julieta shouted, watching as her daughter ran towards the danger and destruction.

Avoiding your dome, Mirabel yelled, "Casita! Get me up there!" Taking apart the breezeway railing and using it as a ladder, Casita dropped it down for Mirabel to climb.

From the breezeway, Camilo darted through the crumbling walls to get to Mirabel. He didn't care for no candle, he wanted her safe and away from the destruction. He wasn't going to be losing two people at once. Grunting and shape-shifting his way to her, he did his best to avoid the falling debris from the collapsing building.

Also trying to help, Isabela grew a vine from down in the courtyard and swung on it towards the candle. But the vine disappeared suddenly, causing her to fall.

"No!" She exclaimed as she fell.

Casita quickly pushed out some wooden beams from the house for Isabela. And landing on them, she safely rolled down the wooden beams to the ground.

Nearing the roof, Camilo climbed up on top of the breezeway railing and made a jump for the roof. But upon reaching out his arm, he transformed back into his normal self.

Not reaching the roof in time, he fell. But Casita quickly detached the breezeway railing, allowing for Camilo to grab it. He safely dropped to the ground next to Isabela.

"No!" He groaned, panting as he looked at his hand and then at her.

Mirabel made it up just in time to the candle, but turned to look at the mountains splitting in half behind her. Swiftly climbing up on the roof, she ran toward the candle.

The animals had rushed out of Antonio's room, breaking the door down as they did so. As Antonio looked up, he gasped at the falling door about to crush him. But Tío Félix ran over and quickly grabbed him just before it happened.

"We gotta get out of here!" He yelled, running towards the front door with Antonio in his arms.

"Mirabel!" Tía Julieta cried. "Mirabel!" She kept reaching out for her child, despite Casita's attempts to push her towards the door.

"Mirabel, we have to get out!" Tío Agustín shouted before being pushed out onto the ground in the house's front with the rest of the family.

From inside the house walls, Tío Bruno escaped the crumbling destruction behind him. Grabbing one of his rats, he tucked it into his poncho. He also grabbed the bucket hanging on the wall and placed it over his head. Then he exited the house through the side of the wall.

From up on the rooftop, Mirabel looked over and saw Tío Bruno land out on the grassy clearing. She continued to climb up and run toward the severely damaged window, reaching for the candle.

Casita, with its remaining strength left, also tried to lift Mirabel to help her reach the candle. The Madrigals yelled for Mirabel from the front of the house, watching as she struggled to get the candle.

"Mirabel! Mirabel, leave it!" Her mother yelled.

"Mirabel! The house is going to fall!" Her father shouted.

The structures surrounding Mirabel crumbled and fell apart, causing worry for her parents.

"Mirabel, get out!" Tía Julieta called.

"Mirabel!"

Finally, grabbing the dying candle, she gasped as Bruno's tower came falling down above her. With Casita's quick thinking, Mirabel slid down the roof tiles. Then she slid down the ramp-like stairway safely to the ground.

She looked up at the giant pieces of falling debris coming down towards her and shielded the candle.

Casita also surrounded Mirabel in furniture, protecting her from the falling debris. Shutting her eyes tightly, she protected the candle and waited for the aftermath.

Breathing heavily, she watched as the dimly lit candle finally died out. No more candle... meant no more Casita, and no more Casita meant... no more gifts.

"No..." She whispered.

Casita waved one last goodbye to her through the creaking door before falling down to the ground. All that surrounded her now were pieces of destroyed and crumbled up debris.

"Aw, what a pity..." A familiar voice rang out.
