Chapter 10

Taylor p.o.v.

It's been over two weeks since we took Shawn to the pack doctor. When we got there he wouldn't let me go, so i had to spend the whole night holding him which my wolf didn't mind. The doctor said he was alright and just needed some rest and they have kept him there since. They say they needed to run some test to see what caused the glowing pink eyes.

Ever since then my dad has been splitting the work duties more. We did not appreciate how much work Shawn actually does. My dad says from now on we are all pitching in. To us it was a little extra work but that is with a lot of people helping. Put that all on one person I'm surprised he hasn't crashed sooner. My dad says Shawn has never complained to him even when my dad had asked him.

I would always sneak into my angels room at night when he is sleeping to make sure everything is alright. Nothing has really happened in these two weeks except Matt went into heat and we had to chain Carter up for a couple of hours. Also Shawn keeps getting gift baskets from people.

Shawn is getting released tonight and Cameron is going to stay over to watch him. Even though I know we aren't together but my wolf is going crazy with jealousy. I am now outside my dad's office getting ready to ask him some things about that night.

I knock on the door and hear him say "come in." My dad is sitting in his desk reading some papers. He looks up and ask, "Taylor what can I do for you?"

"Dad I have some question about that night. I was wondering if you can answer them for me?"

My dad looks surprised and smiles at me. I rarely ask for help or ask question so this must be making him happy having a father and son moment.

"Sure Tay what is it?"

"Okay so you remember when me and Cameron were growling with each other? Well I gave him an alpha command and he brushed it off. How is that possible," I ask.

"Well that is because he is a psi. A psi is born to protect the omega of a pack. You may have noticed how protective Cameron is over Shawn. That is because he was born to protect Shawn and its instinct. Anything to do with Shawn safety he can reject easily.

Not many packs have a psi so we are really grateful to have one. Usually they also have a male mate that is also a warrior or really high ranked since they have to protect the omega they can't protect their mate at the same time so their mates have to be able to protect themselves. They are also as strong and as equivalent as any beta."

"Wow" is all I say. I don't have to worry about anything with Shawn as long as he's with Cameron.

"Is that all son" my dad asked.

"Wait i still have a few more. What is a rogue king, how do their pack works, and what happened to all of them?"

"A rogue king is the leader of a rogue pack. They are different from a normal pack because they aren't organized, don't give a damn about other packs and their territory, and are full rogues which means most of them are criminals in their own packs.

They are always small because they don't like to get along many wolves and die easily without a pack so their aren't many rogues out there. The only way to become the new rogue king is to kill the old one. These packs usually don't last long.

Not all rogues are bad though and not all of their packs fail. Some rogues are rogues because their family were rogues and were able to live in human world without suspicion or their families never joined a pack. Usually the rogue packs that are able to become recognizable normal packs are made up by these types rogues. For example moonlight pack were once a rogue pack that were made up by these types of rogues.
