We slowly walked back to the hotel and Abby decided to talk with me while Cloud was talking to Nick and Nikki

"So...how did you and Cloud meet?"

I gave her a small smile "We're childhood friends, we met through a similar friend and meet again through the same group of friends"
Now that I think of it, fate has been trying to make me keep meeting with Cloud with the same people I call my friend, there are billions of people that he could be friends with but it just so happens to be with my group

They say it's a small world

Once she heard that we were childhood friends her eyes turned to disappointment "Oh"

"How did you meet Cloud?"

She grinned at me "We met when I ran away from home"

I stopped with my tracks and she stopped alongside me, Cloud and the twins kept walking in front of us leaving both of us behind
She's the runaway girl

There's no doubt about it, they had a history together but nobody knows her it means they met through the same situation. Cloud did try to run away from his home and in the process, I assume she met Abby show as the runaway girl

Abby considers the hotel owner her Mom which means it is concrete evidence that she did run away from home and she got adopted, it means
She slept with Cloud

Cloud told me before that he did it once and it was a runaway, she fits the criteria perfectly. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in my chest that I couldn't explain it was so hard to swallow that information

This shouldn't be even the less of my worried but why does it feel like it hurts me a bit inside
Damn, maybe I am hungry after all

Too bad I gave half of my burger to Nikki

I don't know how can I act around her the moment I realized the truth, it was awkward and weird to be with her, even more so with Cloud who has now finished his conversation with the twins

I masked my real emotions with a smile "I see, why did you run away from your home?"

"Well I always get abused mentally and physically"

I don't know what to say about the situation, I was not mad but I pity her real bad. I have my fair share of mental abuse from other people as I grow up and it is hard. I can't even imagine the physical abuse she has to go through

Now that I think of it, Abby was a bit timid, and even if she shows us a big smile and a lot of energy there was a small barrier that she created around herself and Cloud seemed to be the only one who can cross that barrier. You don't need to be smart to know that she has a barrier

She kept sticking to Cloud's side like glue during our walk back to the hotel, he didn't push her away or make any mean joke. Geez, the difference in treatment is astoundingly big

When we finally reached our hotel rooms the twins went into their rooms first and I was planning to go into our room but I noticed that Cloud wasn't behind me neither was Abby too. I searched around the hallways and I hid immediately behind a wall once I saw them talking to each other

Abby was twirling a small strand of hair and she gave him a flirty look "I didn't know you have a girlfriend now" she said to him, Cloud was leaning at a wall next to a painting

Both of his hands were shoved deep in his jacket "Yeah, she is quite a handful"

They both laughed, I was listening to them while hiding behind the wall
I'm a handful to Cloud also
