you watched as one of the players, mark, got ready to swing. the pitcher threw the baseball and mark perfectly swung the bat, hitting the baseball. the whole crowd watched as the ball flew in the air. players ran either on the plates or towards the ball but the ball went over the fence, indicating a home run.

"yes. yes!" you jumped and your eyes went straight to your boyfriend, who was running from his spot on first base. he made it around the diamond before running home, mark following after him.

the crowd cheered in response as the game finished off for the night.

your boyfriend's team won and you were so happy for them. you went down to the field so you could meet with your boyfriend. he was talking with his coach and his teammates.

"let's go celebrate!" one of the players, chenle, suggested.

"where should we go?" another player, yangyang, asked.

"dude, let's go to that new place by the bar," one of the players, mark, suggested.

"sungchan? you in?" jeno asked and everyone looked at him.

sungchan looked around and saw you. he smiled and you smiled back, waving at him.

"maybe next time guys," he said to his team.

"your girl came? go hang with her," coach jaehyun said to him.

his team took their leave while sungchan walked up to you.

"thanks for coming," he said once he reached you. he dropped his bag next to his feet.

"of course," you smiled at him. "congrats on winning."

"thanks. i would give you a hug right now, but..." his voice trailed off as both of you looked at his dirt-covered uniform.

"yea, we can hug later once you shower and change," you said to him. "want to order takeout and hang out at my place?" you asked him.

he nodded, "sure."

you two left the field and walked to your car. you got into the driver's seat while sungchan threw his stuff in the back before sitting in the passenger seat next to you.

"you know, you could've at least changed before you got in here," you said to him.

"well, you did say i could shower at your apartment," he replied and looked at you.

you two just stared at each other for a second before both of you burst into laughter as you drove out of the parking lot. you made it back to your apartment and parked in the parking garage beneath it. you two got out of your car and headed up to the ninth floor.

"do you still have practice tomorrow?" you asked him.

"dunno, coach will probably give us the day off. if not, then maybe for like a few hours," he replied as you reached your apartment door.

you unlocked the door and both of you went inside.

"i'll order food. what do you want?" you asked while taking your coat off. sungchan immediately headed for the bathroom.

"anything and everything," he replied before closing the door. you heard the shower turn on while you looked for places to order from for dinner.

once you found a place to order from, you ordered food for both of you.

"y/n?" you heard sungchan once he was done getting ready.

"living room," you spoke.

you heard sungchan walk into the living room, and he kissed your cheek before jumping over the couch to sit next to you. his hair was still damp.

"thank you coming to the game tonight," he said to you while pulling you closer to him.

"you already said that," you giggled at him.

"i know. i'm just really happy that you came," he said. "it makes me really happy when you come."

"well, i know i haven't been to all of them, but i'll do my best to be at as many as i can," you said to him before kissing his cheek. "love you."
