chapter 22

3 weeks in total have passed since Ryujin and I talked. She still hasn't sent me a message and I haven't sent her a message either.

I'm still curious by what Lia meant that she just disappeared. Who disappears like that?

Dana and I are doing good I guess. He's still an ass and he still doesn't help much but he's better?

I keep thinking about my conversation with Jessica. How did Ryujin make me feel? Guy or girl, she was still nice to me. She still made me feel special. Even if I can't be with her, maybe we can still be friends. She was always there for me.

After some thinking, I decided to message Ryujin.

kitty_purrfect: Hey

That's odd. It's not delivering the message. So either she deleted kik or her phone is off. So I try to contact her on Skype instead and same with that. Nothing.

I start feeling something in my stomach. Like nervousness. I feel scared but I don't know why. I'm trying to think of how else I can contact Ryujin but I don't know any other way so I message Lia again.

kitty_purrfect: Hey. Sorry to bother you but do you know where Ryujin is now?

I put my phone away when I hear Eva cry. She woke up from her nap.

"Do you miss Ryujin?" I ask Eva.

Of course she doesn't say anything. I carry her back downstairs to get food. After feeding her, my phone gets a notification.

liayah: Why do you care?

kitty_purrfect: I'm just asking. Am I not allowed to ask?

liayah: again why do you care where Ryujin is?

kitty_purrfect: just answer me

liayah: no

What the hell is her problem?

kitty_purrfect: please. I'm really worried. I messaged her but she didn't respond

liayah: she's still nowhere to be found. Her parents seems to know where she is but they're not telling any of her friends

kitty_purrfect: when you see her, could you please have her message me?

liayah: Why?

kitty_purrfect: I miss her.

She doesn't reply to me anymore after that.

Dana comes home from work and informs me that I'm doing a livestream today on twitch. I'm not really feeling it but I think it will be a good distraction from Ryujin.

We start the livestream and for some reason I keep looking for Ryujin's username. I'm hoping to see her. I thought I would be distracted from Ryujin but it was not the case. I was distracted because of Ryujin.

Dana must have notice that I'm distracted. I ended the stream without informing Dana beforehand. I'm just not in the mood.

"What's wrong with you? You've been extra depressing these past couple of weeks?" Dana ask.

"I'm fine. Just tired" I say.

"That's your answer for everything. Maybe you're sick. Go to a doctor" he says.

"I'm really fine, Dana. I just need to rest."

Am I going crazy? Why do I miss her? I'm the one who told her to stop talking to me. Why isn't she texting me back? Is she okay?

I decide to text Kiri if I could get Jessica's number. She was hesitant at first but she ends up giving it to me.

Me: Hey. Do you remember that girl you mentioned?

Jessica: yea? The girl that's making you question your sexuality?

Me: Why do i miss her?

Jessica: shouldn't you know the answer to that? It's your feelings.

Me: I'm so confused. I feel like I like her but I can't imagine myself being with another girl

Jessica: then don't see her as a girl

Me:huh?

Jessica: don't look at her as a girl or a guy. Just look at her as someone you like and possibly want to be with. Don't worry about genders.

Me: she's not even talking to me right now.

Jessica: maybe give her time?

Me: I'm the one who's supposed to be mad. Not her.

Jessica: then why aren't you?

Me: I don't know! Ugh it's so confusing

Jessica: it's more like you're confusing yourself. I'm curious. Do you have a picture of her? I want to see the face of the girl who's making you question yourself

I send a picture of Ryujin wearing a baseball cap with her headphones on.

Jessica: Damn. Wow. If I wasn't with Kiri already. I would definitely ask her out

Me: hey!! You have a girlfriend!

Jessica: I know. No need to get jealous but she's way too fine to be single for long. Snatch her up before someone else does

Me: shut up. You're annoying

Jessica: you're the one who texted me so deal with it

Me: What do I say if she ever messages me back?

Jessica: well that do you want? Figure that out first. It seems like it's clear you want to keep talking to her. It's just the matter of what type of relationship you want with her

Me: I'm still mad she lied but I'm curious what will happen between us

Jessica: if you're just curious. Let her go. Let yourself move on. One of you will end up getting hurt. If you're interested then go for it

Me: thank you for this but please don't tell Kiri about all of this

Jessica: I'm sorry. She already knows. We don't keep secrets from each other but don't worry. We won't tell Dana

Me: thank you

Jessica: you should break up with Dana though. He's an ass

Me: haha yea I have no where to go if he kicks me out.

Jessica: if that happens, I'm sure Kiri won't mind if I let you stay with me until you can get on your own two feet

Me: thanks but it would be too much of a bother. I can't do that to you

Jessica: it won't be but I have to go. Kiri is being needy. If you know what I mean 😏

Me: gross. Bye

I'm so glad I met Jessica. She reminds of Ryujin. Always so understanding. Where are you Ryujin? I really miss you. I want to talk to you about us. I want us to be friends.
