Ember still wasn't into the whole party every week thing.

There wasn't even any alcohol which made the party even harder to tolerate.

Coffee.

All there was so drink was coffee.

Since Tony was hosting a party to celebrate rebranding Starbucks we Starkbucks, all he was celebrating was Starkbucks coffee.

Normally she sat in a corner, stirring her cocktail with a straw, but this time she had to sit in the corner stirring her Starkbucks iced latte.

Alone of course.

The party was in full swing around her. Everyone acted like they were drunk, but actually they were all just on caffeine highs.

The bar was completely transformed into a Starkbuck themed takeaway, and no matter how hard Ember tried to get alcohol, even threatening to set their heads on fire, she still sat completely sober with an iced latte.

She missed Steve.

She kept thinking about Steve.

So goddamn much.

She was so used to spending every waking moment next to America's sweetheart, these last few weeks had been horribly lonely.

She tried to spent more time with Tony, but his schedule was tight even for her, and Pepper was busy doing girlboss CEO shit.

"Care for a dance, Miss Rose?"

Ember was pulled out of her thoughts as she turned to the figure behind her.

"Ricky?"

Ember looked at the familiar face as she looked up at his friendly, smiling face.

"You're sitting on your own, c'mon and dance with me." He outstretched his arm, gesturing for her to take it.

"Not much of a dancer, dude." She eyed up his outstretched arm.

"I'll teach you."

Something about it felt wrong? Like she didn't want him to he asking her to dance with him.

It was a strange feeling which Ember couldn't quite understand, one she didn't recognise.

"Oh I know how to dance, I just don't want to." She gave him a smirk.

"Is that your way of saying your not interested?" He asked with a chuckle, sitting on the chair opposite her.

Yes.

"I'd maybe say yes if someone spiked my coffee with a few vodka shots or something, or if my arm wasn't broken."

"I can't fix your arm, or spike your coffee, I'm afraid. But I can buy you another coffee, if you'd like?"

"Mhm, na I'm good, thanks anyways. I'm just going to deal with it until I can go back to my room and rewatch full house and wallow in the fact that I don't have an uncle as good looking as John Stamos."

Seeing as she didn't know much about recent pop culture, since her depressive episode which caused her to live her life in a blur, she would just stick to the old stuff she was familiar with.

"I actually met him once."

"You did?" Ember asked, grinning.

"Yeah, real nice guy."

"How did you meet him?"

"Huge gala. I was one of the agents on duty due to a suspected invitee being part of a wanted organisation."
