Ch.16 "Odd"

                                     Third Person POV 

" You compelled me to forget?" Stefan said

 "It was time for Rebekah and I to move on. Better to have a clean slate." Klaus said 

[He drains his glass.]

"But why? You shouldn't have to cover your tracks...unless you're running from someone." Stefan said

 "Storytime's over." Klaus said 

" I need another drink. A real one." Stefan said 


                      Cali POV 

Gloria was entertaining me with some of her magic. 
I clapped 

"Again, Again." I said giggling 

I closed my eyes and pointed my head towards the ceiling a familiar smell hit my nose. 
I know that smell...

That fast Klaus was in front of me. 

"What is it little Minx?" Klaus asked 

"You don't smell that?" I asked 

I looked past Klaus and see Damon, 

"Last call. Drink 'em up!" Gloria said 

"I see they've opened the doors to the riff-raff now." Klaus said 

"Oh, honey, I've been called worse." Damon said 

"You don't give up, do you?" Klaus said

 "Give me my brother back...You'll never have to see me again." Damon said

 "Well, I am torn. You see, I promised Stefan I wouldn't let you die, but how many freebies did I really sign up for? And clearly you want to die, otherwise you wouldn't be here, so..." Klaus said

 "What can I say? I'm a thrill-seeker." Damon said 

"Cali why don't you go wait out side while us adults talk." Klaus said not sounding happy 

I nodded jumping off the stool and walking out side. 

After hearing a lot of yelling and banging,
Then I hear the door open, seeing Damon storm out. and not long Klaus walked out. 

[Me and Klaus enter the room in the warehouse full of his family's coffins. Rebekah's is empty and the guardman is lying dead on the floor nearby.]

Klaus Explained everything to me on the way here. 

"Rebekah...It's your big brother. Come out, come out, wherever you are." Klaus said 

I was holding onto Klaus's leg because I hear movement all around us. but she was moving so fast I couldn't pin point where it was coming from. 

[She rushes over stabs him with the dagger. He gasps.]

I gasped and my eyes got wide.

" Go to hell, Nik!" Rebekah said 

[Klaus takes the dagger out of his chest, holds it out beside him, and drops it.]

"Don't pout. You knew it wouldn't kill me." Klaus said

 "Yeah, but I was hoping it would hurt more." Rebekah said 

"Behave yourself, your going to frighten the little Minx," Klaus said placing his hand on top of my head. 

Rebekah looked down at me I was squeezing Klaus's pant leg. 

"Who is this doll?' Rebekah kneeled down in front of me. and smiled 

"Rebekah this is Cali. Elijah is the one who found her." Klaus said 

"I'm sorry found her?" Rebekah said standing up looking at Klaus confused. 

"It's a story for another time." Klaus said 

"Now I understand that you're upset with me, Rebekah...So I'm going to let that go. Just this once. Brought you a little peace offering. You can come in." Klaus said 

[Stefan comes in but doesn't show any sign of recognition.]

"Stefan..." Rebekah said 

[Klaus gets closer to him and compels him.]

"Now you remember." Klaus said 

"Rebekah." Stefan said 

[He walks closer to her.]

" Stefan." Klaus said 

[Stefan stops and turns to face Klaus.]

[Stefan looks at Klaus.]

" I remember you. We were friends." Stefan said "We are friends." Klaus said 

[He looks at Rebekah.]

" And now the reason you're here. Gloria tells me you know how to contact the original witch." Klaus said 

"The original witch?" Rebekah said 

" What do you have that Gloria needs?" Klaus said 

[She touches her neck but realizes her necklace is missing.]

"Where's my necklace? What did you do with it? I never take it off!" Rebekah said 

I looked at Stefan and he had a odd look on his face.

" I don't know. I didn't touch it." Klaus said

 "We need to find it, Nik. Now, I want it back!" Rebekah said 

"Tell me that's not what she needs, Rebekah!" Klaus said 

[She looks into the coffin but doesn't find it so she throws it on the ground. Stefan is concerned.]

Something is off. I thought I could sense it.
