Percy

My eyes snapped open as I jerked up in my chair. I was covered in cold sweat, and my body wouldn't stop shaking, despite me trying to calm myself down. I looked around the room suspiciously, overly paranoid from my nightmare.

I couldn't describe what had happened. I had nightmares, as any demigod would, but this wasn't about some prophecy of what was to come or even Tartarus, it was about the Reverse Flash.

I could distinctly remember his glowing eyes and devilish smile. He felt so real, I could still feel his breath breathing down my back. It was like he personally invaded my dreams, and the theory could totally be true. I cursed at Morpheus, the god of sleep.

The Reverse Flash had told me a prophecy-ish, (as if I needed more of those in my life) that I found oddly suspicious, and I could help but think he was hinting at his identity, as if he wanted me to figure out who he was. Usually, when I receive a prophecy, it came from the Delphi or now known as Rachel. So you can imagine my dismay when he said this:

Sea and Speed unite
Time traveler they will fight
He hides in plain sight

I questioned whether this was truly a prophecy, but I think not. Of course, I could always ask Rachel, but I decided against it. She was on vacation, and I didn't want to ruin it by putting my problems on her shoulders.

I thought more about what he said. He called himself a time traveler, was that even possible? Is he from the past or the future? Why did he come to me this time?

And he also mentioned that he was hidden in plain sight, which wasn't at all helpful. I mean, I know many people here at Central City, any of them could be the Reverse Flash. But at the same time, all the main suspects were there when he was trapped in the thing Cisco, Dr. Wells, and Annabeth made.

I slouch back in the chair, my mind tired. And I have not yet realized the aching pain in my arms and neck from sleeping in such an uncomfortable position. Yet, the hairs on my neck tense as soon I realize how empty the room is.

My eyes widened in fear. Annabeth wasn't in her bed. I stood up, my hands pressed firmly at the arm rests, making the chair push back, startling me when it creaked loudly.

I pull the sliding doors of the med bay open and I hop down into the Cortex, but my beating heart slowed down when I see everyone is gathered around the desk, even Annabeth. She was sitting in a chair, eating what I thought to be a bowl of cereal.

She gives me a wave and a smile, but her mouth is full so it looks a bit wonky.

Despite a full night of rest from her, she still looked rather tired. But then again, her leg was broken, so she had a decent excuse. But I couldn't help but wonder if she suffered nightmares as well as I did last night, but I didn't have the courage to ask in front of everyone else.

I looked at my friends who were crowded around the screens, doing their own thing. They all said good morning to me, but I was too distracted to reply back.

I doubt it was Caitlin or Cisco, for they didn't have the same height or build as the Reverse Flash. He was taller than me, and they weren't. For Barry, I doubt it. He resents the Reverse Flash too much to even be him. As for Eddie and Joe, it couldn't be them.

I almost wanted to hit myself. I couldn't think of who it could be. He said hiding in plain sight, so I must know who it is.

I looked at Dr. Wells and tilted my head at him. A smug was permanently plastered on his face. But I couldn't help but wonder, was he really paralyzed? He seems so. . . how would you describe it? He doesn't appear to want to stop the Reverse Flash as much as he does. But I didn't want to be biased by our past encounters.
