I'm looking back at
All those times
You sat by me
And I just realized that
I won't have that anymore
We won't have that anymore
And, God, it hurts
All those nights
That you braided my hair
Before I fell asleep...
They're gone now
You're gone now
And you won't be back
And yet
I can't help but hope,
Knowing I'll only get hurt,
That I'll have another moment
With you
Even if it's just for a second
So that I can make you laugh
And apologize for all the time I wasted
Doing the opposite
Now I wish I'd made better memories
Memories that I could now
Hold in my heart
To replace the pain lodged in it
Cause you're gone now
And you won't be back
