I Don’t Care Who You Like;

It was late after a long night. Besides,  the day broke earlier in summer and it was almost dawn.

“I… I ran away from home…” Zhou Nan stammered.

“The reason.” Chen Ming asked as if he was interrogating a prisoner.

Zhou Nan drew circles on his thighs, “I’m afraid you will feel unhappy…”

Chen Ming interrupted, “It’s none of my business.”

If it was translated into normal terms, it should be: “Don’t worry. I won’t care.” But Chen Ming didn’t speak that way.

His grumpy words made Zhou Nan, who always had a good temper, feel the urge to throw things, “I’m gay! My family doesn’t understand me! Do you understand? So I decided to run away from home, and I ran into that damned thing just a few kilometers away!”

Zhou Nan thought Chen Ming would yell at him, and then they would scuffle with each other so that he could vent his anger. He prepared for a fight, his chest heaving fiercely and his fists clenching.

Chen Ming stared at him thoughtfully for a while, then pushed the quilt to one side, got out of bed and lit a candle. He seemed to have a special affection for the old lighting tool. The wax gave off an indescribable light fragrance.

Zhou Nan was surprised at Chen Ming’s calm reaction and gradually relaxed.

Chen Ming leaned against the long table and rubbed his leg with his bare foot, “To be honest, I would say whatever I want to and I don’t dislike you.”

Zhou Nan felt that Chen Ming was superstitious and had similar backward ideas as his family members. But of course, he didn’t say what he thought but just lowered his head.

Chen Ming squinted his eyes, observed Zhou Nan with interest and said slowly, “I am superstitious to you outsiders, but I am not ignorant. What kind of world is this? It has nothing to do with others whoever you like. Your family members are really awesome. They killed you indirectly.

Hearing that, Zhou Nan, who had had too much pressure from his family and friends, was moved a bit. He felt sad for his tragic fate and bowed his head even lower to cover his teary eyes.

But before he could say something to thank Chen Ming, the latter said something annoying again. “I don’t care it even if you like donkey shit.”

“You…” Zhou Nan was ineloquent and didn’t know what to say. He held back his tears, his face red.

Chen Ming didn’t take his anger seriously and did what he had on hand. He lit a charm over the candle, put the ash into the glass with a little water at the bottom and then shook the glass.

Zhou Nan looked at the grey liquid and felt sick. “This…”

Before he finished, Chen Ming raised his hand and poured it at him. Zhou Nan quickly covered his face. The muddy water brushed past him and fell to the ground.

“What are you doing?” Zhou Nan was a little shocked, feeling that Chen Ming was deliberately frightening him and making fun of him.

Chen Ming raised his hand and knocked on Zhou Nan’s head, “A foolish boy.”

“I…” Zhou Nan covered his head and stopped talking.

‘Wait, did he touch me just now? The spirit is gone?’

Zhou Nan put down his hand. He looked at himself in panic and clenched his fist.

Everything was fine.

The suffocation and pressure that had been with him after he entered the room disappeared.

Chen Ming smiled and yawned, “I was afraid you wouild come over and touch me again one day. But it’s effective for only ten days. Remember the date yourself and I’ll pour the mud again.”

“Why do you try to annoy others even if you are doing good deeds?” Zhou Nan found that this guy made him angry for a while and then moved him in the next second.

Once again.

Chen Ming pretended not hear what he had said. He walked out of the room, came back with a mop, poked at Zhou Nan’s feet violently and said, “Stop talking nonsense and get away.”
