Chapter 3

Venti's POV

I was headed to the bus stop when I saw xiao there as well

I went up behind him and yelled "BOO"

He jumped and looked at me

"You scared the shit out of me" he says lightly punching me in the shoulder

"That was the point" I say laughing "You shoulda seen the look on your face"

He crosses his arms and sighs

"Aw cmon it was just a harmless prank" I say "anywaaaaaay we should get going, we wouldn't wanna miss the bus"

"Yeah" he says

Once we get to school we sit down in our seats and wait for the teacher to enter

'Why would they make us do math at SEVEN THIRTY IN THE MORNING' I think

Xiao looked like he was on the verge of falling asleep

"You good?" I ask him

"Yeah why" he asks, confused

"You just look like you're literally seconds away from passing out" I say "Did you not sleep?"

"No, I did" he says "Just still tired"

"Well here" I say, taking off my jacket "use this as a pillow, yesterday the teacher said we'd just be taking notes today so I'll take them for you. Get some rest"

"Thanks" he says

And with that, he was asleep

I took notes in my notebook as well as his, let's just say my hand did not feel great after that class

I lightly shook Xiao and told him class was over

He gave me back my coat and went on his way

Bro the day went by sooooo sloowwwwwww

But once it was over me and Xiao finally got to hang out :D

Xiao's POV

We finally got to that place venti wanted us to hand out at and I nearly had a heart attack

ZHONGLI? BEHIND THE COUNTER?

I tried hiding my face the best I could but it was no use

"Xiao you ok?" Venti asks confused

"Yeah yeah I'm fine"

"Xiao?" Zhongli says

"Hi...." I say, not knowing what to do

"You know him?" Venti says

"Yeah uh-" I start

"I'm his dad, Zhongli, nice to meet you" zhongli says, holding out a hand "and who might you be?"

Venti shakes his hand and smiles at him

"Nice to meet you sir" venti says "and it's Venti"

"Likewise" Zhongli says "anyway, what can i get for you two"

We give him our order and go to sit down but he stops me

"Isn't that the guy Childe told me you we're really happy around yesterday" he says

"Yes- wait he told you about that" I say

"Of course" he says "You know he can't keep a secret even if his life depended on it"

"Well, yes. That's the guy" I say

He chuckles "well have fun"

"Will do" I say, walking away

"What took so long" Venti says, jokingly slumping down in the chair

"Nothing" I say

We enjoy the rest of our time, laughing and telling each other more about ourselves

Once it was time to go Venti hugged me and said he'd see me tomorrow
