He left out early that morning, two weeks later. He catches a cab to the airport and started his search the instant he reached Sunny Side.

He went to the first diner, and ordered coffee, while he drank it absentmindedly, he looked out for her.

After a while, he concluded that she was not there; she did not work there, or it was her day off.  He was not sure which, but he did not want to ask. Not wanting her to know he was there until she sees him.

He moved on to the second diner. Upon opening the door, the two of their eyes met. She looked like a doe in a headlight. He hoped she did not make a run for the back door, although he knew he would have deserved her running out on him.

If she decided that she did not want to see him, after the way he had behaved for more than a year.

He was not the only one who saw her distress; a young man, one of the customers rushed to her side. He tried to find out if she was okay. They were too far from the door for him to hear what he was saying to her; she did not respond to his inquiries; she just stands there looking at him and him at her.

Christophe could not believe how much more like Megan she looked over the past year. She looks like her twin. How come he had not noticed or was it because he had noticed why he could not be sober around her for more than a minute or two?

His eyes did not leave her face until the young man put his hands on her belly. She was pregnant, not very far along but he was sure she was pregnant. She got pregnant before she came down here, he thought as he looked around the kitchen.

Everything was clean and in its right place. He cleaned up the kitchen without even thinking about the task which was at hand. Now that he was finished in the kitchen, he had to go out into the living room and talk to her. Start to build a relationship with her.

He was going to do whatever it takes for him to be a permanent part of Her's and the baby's life.

Jesreen was glad to get off her feet, they are starting to hurt. She was glad to see your father, after taking a few minutes to think, after seeing him sober, even if it was only for a few hours, was great.

The man in the kitchen was closer to the father she knew when she was small than she had seen him be in the past year. She was afraid to think it will remain that way forever. Afraid to up help her hopes for it to be crumbled. Only if. She sighed.

After being in the living room for a while, her foot felt a lot better. She decided to go and sit out on the verandah; it was a beautiful evening. It was early autumn, and the evenings are shorter, but it was still pretty warm and beautiful outside.

Jesreen was distracted by the beauty of the evening, she did not hear her father coming out, and she did not see the way he was looking at her.

"How many hours do you work? Are you getting as much rest?"
"I'm only working part-time now so I'm getting as much rest.  I'm starting to take classes in the evening, but I will still be getting as much rest." By this time Christopher sitting beside her.

"I am sorry." Jesreen did not know she was waiting for those words until she heard them. She did not know they would have meant so much to her. With tears in her eyes, she leans into his outstretched arms. He held her while she cries. Anger, frustration, relief, not sure what kind of tears they were, but they flood. When she felt all out of tears she set up and dried her eyes.

"It's good to see you like this."   "Sober you mean."
Jesreen could not answer in words, she only nod.
'Two weeks and counting," Christoph laughed with a distant look in his eyes.
"You make it for two weeks, I know you can hold on longer," She encouraged.

"Thank you for your faith in me. I should not have started in the first place."
"No, you should not have, but we as human beings do a lot of things we are not supposed to, we do them anyhow. Guess that's what makes us human. The important thing is that you are doing the right thing now."

A/N. Jesreen's father found her, will be sticking around, or will he make his anger takes hold of him again?

Thank you for the reads and the votes. Greatly appreciated.
