You Are My Sunshine (Sun and Moon x reader)

((A/N: I find it funny how I decided to write a story about Sun and am now writing multiple chapters about Moon instead-))

By the next morning Moon was still there, seeming to be feeling a bit better on account of the fact he actually allowed you to get within three feet of him since you were now looking through the cards as well, just curious as to what they all had drawn on them, and they were all pretty cute other than one which simply said 'don't croak' with a picture of a dead frog on it "that's...creative" you said with a chuckle, holding it up to show Moon, he nodded, laughing quietly before stretching out on his belly, burying his face into one of the pillows and humming contently "don't get too comfy, the daycare opens pretty soon" you mumbled, standing up and stretching your back which caused the animatronic to jump slightly at your sudden movements, quickly turning his head to look up at you "I'm just stretching, no worries" you reassured before walking away and climbing through the tube into the smaller room "I'm gonna get changed, don't follow me!"  You called "didn't wanna follow you anyway!" Moon replied, going quiet for a minute before letting out a concerned "uhh...yyyy/nnn?" Right as you were putting on a clean shirt, you ducked down to peer through the tube at him "yeah what's up?" You asked "I think something is wrong" he replied with no elaboration, you sighed, climbing back out into the larger room and walking over to Moon, still keeping a bit of a distance "what's wrong then?" You asked "Well I dunno, this doesn't usually happen" he answered, motioning to a wet patch on the side of his pants leg "ah damn it, is that thing seriously leaking already?" You asked no one in particular "I don't even know what 'that thing' is so I couldn't tell ya" Moon replied with a shrug "oh right, I didn't tell you yet, sun was having a lot of issues with overheating and nobody was gonna do anything to help it so I installed a fluid cooling system...and now what's most likely happening is one of the pumps is leaking" you explained as you walked over to your tool kit to get out some plumbers tape and such "oh...what do you have to do?" Moon asked, sounding somewhat nervous "I mean I have to fix it before the start of the shift, otherwise it'll run out of water and burn up before I can get to it then I'd have to replace the whole thing and that would take a whole lot more time and money that I don't have" you answered "yes I know you have to fix it but what exactly does that entail?" Moon continued to question, backing up as you walked back over to him "well first of all I need you to cooperate at least a little bit with me here, I've gotta access the pump and reinforce whichever seal is leaking, and then later after the shift when we have time I'll reinforce all of the other seals just to be safe" you explained before patting the table "but first I need you to take your pants off and hop up here" you added, Moon seemed to have been following along just fine up until that point "what?....but..i...n-no" he muttered, crossing his arms stubbornly "Moon I have literally disassembled and reassembled you two, I know exactly what you do and don't have and what you don't have is any reason to be so shy, c'mon man, you've gotta help me help you here" you insisted, you could've just turned the lights on, in fact it would've made your life a lot easier if you did since you'd be able to see what you were doing but you were still trying to get moon used to you and it seemed like a good time since the issue wasn't particularly severe, Moon kept his arms crossed tightly, staring towards the floor now and refusing to look up "Moon, listen, I dunno what you think I'm trying to do here but you don't have to be scared, all I'm doing is repairing a seal, it'll take like a minute maximum and then I'll leave you be okay?" You reassured, offering a soft smile when he looked up slightly seeming to study your expression for a moment before looking away again with a low mechanical sigh, you picked the blanket up off of the floor and offered it to him "here, if it bothers you so much you can cover up, I really only need access to your legs" he hesitantly took the blanket and you turned your back to him to give him privacy, waiting for him to give the okay before turning around to see him already sitting on the table and kneeling in front of him and pulling out your pen light to help you see as you began to take the plating off of his leg "see this isn't so bad" you muttered, working quickly since you only had a couple minutes though Moon wasn't exactly making your job any easier, flinching and jumping every time you tried to grab or move his leg, regardless you finished quickly, drying everything off and pouring the water back into the tank before finally reconnecting the pump to the powersorce and putting his leg back together "tada" you said, using the edge of the table to pull yourself up which earned a quiet gasp from the animatronic as you leaned over him for a split second, his hands jumping up as if he would shove you away but you'd already moved away on your own, turning your back to him as you walked to the door "alright get dressed man, you've got a job to do" you said before quickly heading down to the daycare to make sure everything was in place, being scooped up and into the air by Sun only a moment later, causing you to yelp with surprise, having no idea how he'd managed to sneak up on you with all of the bells "GOOOOD MORNING!" He shouted directly in your face before squeezing you like a teddy bear "don't shout so close to my face please my ears can only handle so much" you said with a chuckle, hugging him back tightly
