Hoor looked down at her lap when Raima and Hassan left. Mahnoor was in her lap, playing with a toy in her hands.

"Mano aap soi nahi? Chalo so jao, main story sunati hun. Sunni hai?"

(Mano you didn't sleep? Sleep, I'll narrate a story. Do you want to listen?)

Mahnoor nodded. Hoor stood up with her in her arms and started moving around in the lounge and kitchen so she could sleep.

"So there was a jinn..." Fortunately or unfortunately, someone's face appeared in her mind at the word. You know whose. Suddenly she realised Mahnoor will get scared of a jinn's story so she decided to change it.

(Jinn = ghost...Male ghost.)

"No, there are no jinns. There are fairies. " Her own face came to mind this time. Height of self obsession.

Ahil was looking through some files in his room, there were 2 cups on the table. They were now empty of the coffee that was placed inside them. He decided to have a third cup. He needed to stay awake. He had to do a night shift tomorrow night. If he sleeps now, he'll wake up in the morning and then if he'll be awake the whole day, the night shift would become difficult. So he wanted to sleep during the day.

He took the cups and went down. He frowned seeing Hoor walking around cradling Mahnoor in the lounge, humming something. He couldn't hear since she was whispering.

'Is time kya kar rahi hai ye yahan? Bas sukoon nahi hai isay ek jagah' He thought but then shrugged and moved to the kitchen.

(What is she doing here at this time? She just can't have peace at one place.)

He made a cup of coffee in 5 minutes with the machine and then moved out of the kitchen. She was now sitting on the sofa. He could only see the back of her head from where he was. He moved a little closer and stood behind her to see if she was awake and ask when she would leave and what is she doing here at this time.

"Mano, story khatam. You're asleep, right?" Hoor whispered with closed eyes. She knew Mahnoor was sleeping by the way her head was on her shoulder.

"No." Mahnoor raised her head from her shoulder, making Hoor frown.

"Mano maine itni lambi story sunai aap phir b nahi soi." She said with closed eyes. She was feeling sleepy.

(Mano I told you such a long story still you didn't sleep.)

"Mamu." Mahnoor said when she saw Ahil and her lips turned into a smile. Ahil smiled back at her and placed a finger on his lips to indicate to her to stay quiet. She did the same.

"Ajayengy  Hassan Mamu abhi."  Hoor yawned.

(Hassan mamu will come too.)

"Aail Mamu." She said with a finger on her mouth and Ahil shook his head at the little one. She had placed a finger on mouth and was still talking.

"Mano maine bola tha na Jinns don't exist." She muttered, half asleep, making Ahil glare at the back of her head.

(Mano I told you na Jinns don't exist.)

"Mamooooo." This time Mahnoor said out loudly and Hoor opened her eyes.

"Mamoo ki bhanji, main bhi tumhari mami hun. Mjhy to tum dono behen bhai lift hi nahi karatay ho. Bas mamu mamu." Hoor tickled and then both of them laughed. Hoor kissed her.
