A/N so this chapter is kind of short but I do want to suggest reading the series i mentioned if you haven't, it's a super good series i can't wait for the next book to come out

I woke up... I don't even know how much time passed but I was glad to seem Estrella still sleeping in my arms, she deserved a lot of sleep. I gently unwrapped my arms from around her and stepped into the bathroom, stripping quietly and getting into the shower, I let my muscles relax under the hot water and took a deep breath. It's been forever since I actually relaxed.

I have no idea how long I took in the shower, but when I got out Estrella was tossing the bedding everywhere, looking panicked.
"Woah woah woah what's going on? Are you ok?" I ran to her side and wrapped her in a hug, letting my scent envelope her to calm her down.
She sniffled and buried her face in my chest, clinging to me like I was the only thing keeping her alive.
"Hey you're ok, you're safe. What happened?"
"I-I had a n-nightmare and then w-woke up and you were just g-gone I was so scared I thought I lost you......."
I frowned and stroked her hair gently.
"I was just taking a shower I'm sorry, I'm ok though."
She nodded against me, but didn't pull away, I didn't either. Being kidnapped really messed with her and I wasn't about to deny my mate some comfort.

We stood like that for a few moments before I carried her down to the kitchen for something to eat and immediately set to work making some pancakes.
She gladly helped... make a mess. By the time we finished the pancakes the kitchen, chairs at the bar counter -and our bodies- were all covered in pancake mix.
Instead of trying to clean it up we both just laughed so hard we were crying. One of the chefs came in and nearly had a panic attack at what we'd done, which only made us laugh harder until he chased us out of there.

"Did you see the look on his face!? It was priceless!" Estrella snickered, leaning on a wall to catch her breath.
"Oh man, I'm never going to be allowed in that kitchen again." I sighed softly, shaking my head soft with a smile. It was nice to see her enjoying this.

"Maybe don't throw pancake mix at me then."
"Woah woah woah excuse you, you're the one who started the whole 'Pancake Revolution' in the first place!"
"You have no proof!"
"I don't need proof I have methods to breaking you."

I smirked and was at her side in an instant, attacking her with tickles. She screamed out a laugh and squirmed, trying to escape.
"You're mine, you're not allowed to escape." I told her, continuing my tickle attack.
She started crying from her laughter and finally tapped my arm.
"I tap out!!! I'm yours you win!!!!"
I smirked and released her.
"Now was that so hard?"
"Yes, extremely."
We laughed and I led her back into the house, taking a detour around the kitchen.

"C'mon I want to show you something."
She blinked in confusion but followed, examining the doors that we passed.
I led her to two large mahogany doors with wolves howling engraved in them and pushed them open, grinning as I watched her reaction

Estrella's POV
I stepped into the large library and stared in awe, my mouth open in a gasp. Large was most definitely an understatement.
Shelves were /everywhere/ with enough room in between for at least three people to walk side by side. The walls were basically just bookshelves and every single shelf had books on them.
I immediately ran in and looked for my favorite series, 'Keeper of The Lost Cities' by Shannon Messenger. It was kind of like with wolves, the main character had to move away from everything she was familiar with to be where she belonged, the same thing is true for werewolves who found their mate, they often moved to their mates pack to be with them.
I found a fiction shelf that was at least three times taller than me, which is saying a lot cause I'm 5"6 tall.

I started searching the book spines, going through a bunch of books I've never even heard of before landing on the first book in the series.
I snatched it and bolted to a bean bag chair that was sitting in a corner and quickly sunk into the land of elves and other stuff that I enjoyed.

I have no idea how much time had passed but eventually I heard Preston come in and told me it was time for bed.

It felt weird, willingly getting into his bed while I still have common sense, but I did and as soon as I was comfortable he slid his arm over my waist and kissed my cheek.
"Goodnight Es."
"Goodnight ding dong."
He chuckled but soon his breathing evened out as he succumbed to sleep as I was quick to join him.
