Celeste groaned in frustration. "But why Sofie ? I am going to explore SilverStone Forest and I am not gonna stop until I figure out what is in there. Now don't go on mothering me and telling me that there are vampires and werewolves in there. That's stupid, since there's nothing as such. " Celeste rolled her eyes.

"Celeste, don't be arrogant about things you don't understand. As a matter of fact, there are vampires and witches." Sofie explained.

"What on earth are you talking about, Sofie? You are being weird now." Celeste turned on her side to face Sofie properly, who sighed before averting her eyes away from her friend.

"Ok so, I had this nightmare and you do know about my parents-" Sofie started to explain.

"What about them? I thought they abandoned you to live in an orphanage until my parents adopted you as you were my friend." Celeste knew she was being rude but she couldn't help it. She was usually called a bitch by the people. Okay, she admits it herself, she was a bitch, but a good kind of bitch.

"You know, I had this dream where this woman was there and she introduced herself as my mother. No no no no no don't interrupt, listen first." Sofie said calmly when Celeste tried to interrupt again. Cel didn't know how her bestie could keep a calm head and a straight face even after going through so much. Sophie spoke again. "She told me about the woods. She said there was some prophecy that was going to come true." Sofia explained.

"But why are you telling me all this? I mean I do feel happy that you got to see your mother, in a dream or whatever but why do you want me to know all this? I mean it won't help me in my quest to explore the forest. And what prophecy are you talking about? " Sofie was quiet for a while.

"Do you want to know what my mother said about the creatures who live there? She told me there were two supernatural clans that reign SilverStone. The vampires and the werewolves. The king of Vampires, Nicolas Moretti, is the most powerful vampire king in the entire world. He is ruthless, cold and heartless... He has the female population begging for his attention and the males envying his position." Sofie said in a rush, purposely ignoring the phrophecy part. She knew it would be too much on Celestine to handle.

"Woah." Celeste said. "And what about the other clan? What kind of supernatural creatures are they?" She was really curious now. Hey, you can't blame her; she was always the one who believed in an alternate universe where mythological creatures would rule the world instead of the vicious human population.

"They are werewolves. The Alpha of the pack Alessandro Del Fuego is the most feared leader of the entire werewolf community. He is said to be the leader of the Blood Diamonds Pack, the most gruesome and ruthless of all the packs. My mom said that both the kings frequently lock heads and most of the time it's the vampire who wins. She said because of this Nicolas Moretti is someone the entire supernatural community bows down before. And if they don't bow before him, he is sure to chop their heads off." Sofie explained.

"Woah." Celeste repeated.
"By the way, this Nicolas whatever sounds like a real asshole. " Celeste murmured to herself. "What?" Sofie asked, smiling, lightly running her hand through her best friend's soft golden hair, trying her very hardest to not chuckle at the expression adorning her friend's beautiful face.

"I think Nicolas is a big asshole. When I explore SilverStone forest tomorrow, if I even meet him, I will be sure to give him a good bonk in the head." Celeste said with a laugh, trying to make a joke to lighten up the mood. It was short-lived though.

"Celeste?" Sofie whispered. "Yeah?" Celeste whispered back. "I heard this whisper in the town that whoever goes inside never comes back. What if- What if it happens to you too? What if you don't-?" Sofie broke into a sniffle.

Celestine's eyes softened as she pulled her friend in for a hug. "Nothing of that sort is gonna happen, babe. And even if I am not able to come back, I will find a way to have you there by my side. If nothing works out, I am gonna force that Vampire King to find a way to bring you to me." Celeste said sincerely.

"He will kill you Cel." Sofie said, laughing.

"He won't. And if he tries to, he will be the one, ending up dead." Celestine said with an unspoken promise in her voice.
