(Y/N) POV
I use one of the computers in the lab to check on my city thankfully nothing has happened since I've been gone "so (Y/N) this has to be the first time in years that you've left Starling City in how long?" Tony asks "three years unlike some of us I can't afford the luxury of a holiday" I say as I close down the surveillance feed "right too busy taking down mobsters and one eyed pirates" he says "but if you're here who's doing your job?" He asks "I have a friend in central city...he's pretty fast so he can be in both places" I reply as I count the arrows left in my quiver "haven't you ever thought about upgrading your suit. I mean right now it's basically just sewn together cloth, not very safe...or warm" Tony says "ok firstly: the idea is to be as light on my feet as possible, secondly: I spent five years on an island I don't get cold anymore" I say as I roll my eyes "okay fair point cast away but what about using some stronger materials with some kevlar padding?" Tony rambles on "ok I will consider if it gets you to shuts up and look for the cube" I say growing more frustrated "just looking out for my business rival" he says as he goes back to searching for the tesseract.
Flashback to before (Y/N) left Starling City
"I know it's a lot to ask but I need to go help" I say "hey what're friends for man I'd be happy to help...but why me? Couldn't you ask John?" Barry asks "we're still not on good terms" I answer as I look down "(Y/N) I'm sure if you called him he'd show up" he says "you weren't there. Anyway thanks for helping me I don't know how long I'll be gone for but I'll let you know" I say before walking away.
Flashback end
I walk into my room and as the door quickly shuts behind me I put my bow and quiver down I remove the top half of my suit before starting my usual workout, starting off with stretching then moving on to sit ups. After an hour of working out I put my full suit back on "Loki means to unleash the hulk keep Dr Banner in the lab I'm on my way" Natasha says over the comms causing me to quickly sling my quiver over my shoulder and I grab my bow as I run out of the room.
As I get to the lab I notice that I'm the last one to get there as the rest of the team are already there "I would like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D is using the tesseract to make weapons of mass destruction" Bruce says as he points to one of the screens "because of him" Fury says before pointing at Thor "me?" Thor asks "last year earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that levelled a small town" Fury says as he paces around the room "and we learned that not only are we not alone in this universe but we are hopelessly, hilariously outgunned" Fury claims as I move closer to the group "my people want nothing but peace with your world" Thor says "but your people aren't the only ones out there and you aren't the only threat.
The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, who can't be controlled" Fury says "like you controlled the cube?" I say "your work with the tesseract is what drew Loki to it and his allies, it is a signal to all the worlds that earth is ready for a higher form of war" Thor says "a higher form of war?" Steve repeats as he turns to face the god of thunder "you forced our hand we had to come up with-", "a nuclear deterrent yeah because that always calms everything right down" Tony says to interrupt Fury causing him to turn around "remind you how you made your millions?" Fury says "I'm sure if Stark was still making weapons-" Steve tries to say before being interrupted by Tony "wait how is this all about me now?" he asks "usually everything is" I say causing the two of them to face me "y'know (Y/N) I'm starting to think you have a problem with me" Tony says "that's because I do, your eccentric, narcissistic and selfish" I say "really I'm getting my mental problems pointed out by a guy who runs around wearing a green hoodie with a bow and arrow" he says "yeah and what're you both without your suits?" Steve asks "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist" Tony replies "billionaire, philanthropist, expert marksman, martial artist and acrobat" I say "I know guys with none of that worth ten of you both" Steve says looking between me and Tony "you're not the type to lay down on a wire and let the other guy walk over you" Steve says.
After he says that I take a few steps back and I look around the room and watch as the rest of the group argue with each other "Dr Banner put down the sceptre" Fury says as I slowly raise my bow towards Bruce as he holds Lokis weapon in his hand "sorry kids guess you don't get to see my party trick" Bruce says before dropping it on the table and before anyone can say another word the window blasts open and without thinking I dive across to shield Natasha as the floor beneath us breaks apart and we fall.
