"When it was dark, you always carried the sun in your hand for me." -Sean Hasey

Isabella POV

I woke up at 4:32am. Which is 32 minutes off from the time that I normally wake up at. I sit up only to instantly feel the familiar feeling of a headache. I hate headaches, have I ever said that before? I look around my room and immediately notice that something is wrong. I can't figure out what it is though. Then I realize that the chair to the desk in the corner of my room has moved. Not by much but still it has moved. Who would have come in my roo-last night! Oh god, last night.

Might as well curl up into a ball and die. How in the heck am I going to explain that? Fudge nuggets, I woke them all up in the middle of the night. They are going to be super, super mad at me. Who wouldn't be though? Will they beat me like John and Larissa?

I heard a faint knock on my door. "You idiot! You really think she's going to be awake? It's 4 in the morning you maniaco!" A voice whisper-yelled from outside the door. (maniac)

"I don't care if she's awake or not, I just want to make sure she's ok after what happened earlier. But if she is awake, I don't want her to be scared by us just barging into her room in the dead of night." A voice like Elijah's reasoned, a faint smile appeared on my face. They're checking on me? That must mean they care, right? No, snap out of it Isabella!  I'm worthless, no one could or would care about me. Just like John and Larissa said, I'm just a waste of breath.

I slowly got up and opened the door.  I saw Elijah and Ilias standing at the other side of the door looking back at me dumbfoundedly upon seeing that I was awake. "You're awake!" they both shrieked at the same time. "Oh, sorry I scared you, I just heard you two outside along with the knock on the door. I just assumed you wanted to come in." I fretted looking back down at the floor, I felt arms wrap around me.

"It's nothing like that, mio amore. We were just surprised that you were awake since it's so early in the morning. You don't ever have to apologize to us for something like this. It's ok." Ilias whispered in my ear soothingly. He pulled away from the hug with a small smile on his face. "But hey since you are awake, want anything to eat? I'll fix anything you want, just say the word." Ilias expressed to me with his smile growing.

Elijah snorted at his statement. "Are you crazy? You'll kill the girl if she eats what you cook. That's if you can even put something on a plate." Elijah jabbered causing Ilias to develop a pout.

"Hey, that's just mean! I can cook, I just haven't had the motivation to!" Ilias retorted.

"Remember the last time you cooked 2 years ago for dad's birthday party. And you completely refused anyone's help even though it was completely obvious to everyone that you needed it. You almost burned down the entire kitchen when you forgot to turn off the stove, the only reason you didn't is because Uncle Angelo found the fire extinguisher in time. But we still had to replace the stove afterwards." Elijah explained to me still chuckling from telling the story. "Anyways is there something that you would like?"

"Thank you for the offer, but I'm not exactly hungry" I told him as nicely as I could.

Elijah sighed before continuing, "Please eat something, Tesoro. You barely ate anything yesterday during breakfast and dinner." I couldn't help but feel bad. I could tell that he was honestly trying to get me to eat just a little.  (sweetheart)

"I guess some buttered toast would be fine" I replied. Buttered toast was the perfect thing to ask for. It won't trouble them too much it will give my brothers peace of mind that I ate, and it is also something that I might be able to eat at least half of.

"Your wish is my command, mia cara sorellina" Ilias said happily with a smile growing on his face he even bowed a little making me giggle. I couldn't help but smile back at him. They both left my bedroom afterwards for what I can only assume is to get my buttered toast. I quickly followed them, not even bothering getting changed. As we got to the kitchen both of my brothers disappeared into the kitchen. (my dear little sister)

I walked down the stairs towards the dining room. Once I sat down Ilias personally delivered my food along with some milk to drink. Elijah followed behind whispering in my ear, reassuring me that he had only let Ilias poor the milk but made sure he had supervision when doing so. I slowly but surely ate half of my toast. I found that having a drink of my milk in between each bite really helped.

Dad entered the kitchen on a phone call while I was in the middle of breakfast. He seemed a bit surprised when seeing us in there. Nonetheless, he gave me a little kiss on my cheek and a quick hello. It must have been important because right after he hung up, he said he had to go into the office. I later asked one of the maids who works here what his job was. According to Stephanie (the maid) he owns a business that has been in the Romano family for generations.

I sort of guessed we were rich by my first-class seat, the mansion, the cars, and we also have maids and chefs, so they don't exactly hide their wealth.

Elijah and Ilias along with Theodore and Mateo had to go to school. The rest of my brothers had to go to work since today is a Tuesday. They didn't want to go because of me arriving yesterday and all. I asked Stephanie to give me a tour of the house since it's my new home.

Once Stephanie got done showing me the entire house, I went to the living room to watch a movie on the big TV. Stephanie told me that I could find something good to watch on something called Disney Plus to try to find a movie. I scrolled upon a movie called 'Tangled.' It looked interesting to me, so I ultimately clicked on it.

45 minutes into the movie and I feel my eyes starting to close. As I fall into-a thankfully- dreamless sleep.
