you laughed as you were hanging out with your friends at the beach. university had ended for the semester so you and your friends decided to celebrate those who had graduated as well as celebrate the end of another year.

"y/n, want anything from the store?" one of your friends shouted. they volunteered to grab more drinks and snacks for you and your friends.

"get me an energy drink!" you shouted back before they left to go to a nearby store.

"y/n, come on already!" one of your friends called for you as some of them ran to the ocean.

"give me a second!" you yelled back. you took a sip of water before unwrapping the towel that was around you. you kicked your sandals off and hurried to the ocean. as you were about to get into the ocean, you bumped into someone who was coming out of the water, "oh, sorry!" you apologized.

he froze for a second but replied, "no worries," he said with a smile.

you ran off and jumped into the ocean to join your friends.

"hey, someone's staring at us," one of your friends spoke up while another tried to attack that friend, "hey! knock it off!" they yelled and splashed some water.

you swam for a second and looked to see who your friend was talking about. you saw the guy you had bumped into and his group looking over every once in awhile.

all of a sudden, you were pulled down into the water. you shook whoever grabbed you off, and you quickly popped back up for air, "hey! not funny!"

"to me it is!" one of your friends laughed before he swam around some more.

you and friends played around before going back into the beach. your other friends returned from the store with more food and drinks for your group.

the sun started setting and luckily, it was allowed that you could make a fire to help heat up some of the food you and your friends had brought.

"got it?" one of your friends asked while trying to make a bonfire?

"no, it's not working. this flint and steel is worn out," one of your friends said and stood up, "look around, maybe the other one is somewhere around here."

the sun was starting to set a bit as your group tried to make a fire.

"you guys need some help?" you turned around and saw the group of guys who were near your setup. "our fire's going if you guys just want to join us," one guy offered.

"for real? yea sure!" one of your friends said and your group agreed.

you moved your stuff to join the other group.

"y/n, i'm cold," one of your friends whined as she threw her arms around you from behind.

"then maybe you should put on your shirt. the sun's basically gone now," you said to her before taking a sip of soda.

"hey mark, play some music will ya?" someone from the other group yelled.

"gotcha," another guy replied and turned on a speaker.

your friend finally let you go to grab some food that was heated up. you pulled your towel around your shoulders to help keep you warm even though you were next to the bonfire.

"hey, want anything to eat?" a guy asked and you turned your head to see the guy you bumped into earlier.

"oh, no. thank you though," you smiled at him. "i'm y/n," you introduced yourself.

"renjun. end of the semester for you?" he asked.

you nodded, "what about you?" you asked.

"same," he replied. "me and my friends are gonna be here the rest of the week. you and i could hang out if you want," he offered.

"kind of quick to make a move, don't you think?" you asked him.

"am i not allowed to for a cutie like you?" he asked.

you laughed and smiled, "i guess not."

"renjun! ask her on a date already! stop being cheesy!" one of renjun's friends suddenly shouted, making his group and your group of friends look at the two of you.

"ooh, y/n has a date!" one of your friends spoke up.

you rolled your eyes, "he hasn't even asked me yet," you said.

"well, if things don't work out. me and you can go on a date," one of renjun's friends suggests.

"hey! jeno!"

"he's cute. maybe i should ask him out," one of your friends said as she opened an energy drink can.

"don't even think about it!" you said to your friend and put your arm around renjun, "it's me and him now."
