"did you unpack everything yet?" you asked shotaro as you put some books that were going to be donated into an old cardboard box.

"i don't wanna. what happens if i have to leave again?" he asked.

you chuckled, "well, that's your choice." you said to him, "what's your plan for today?"

"be sad because i'm cuddle deprived," he replied, clearly upset over the phone since you didn't meet him at his dorm when he got back from a trip.

"shotaro, don't say that," you said to him. "you have practice today, right?" you asked him.

"yea, but only for like two hours, and then i'm free again," he answered. "i miss you," he said, clear pout in his voice.

"i miss you more," you said to him.

"not true. you didn't come get me at the airport," he whined.

"your flight came in way too early!" you argued, "you know i don't wake up until later when i don't have work," you added as you packed some more books into the box. you closed the box and walked to the front area of your house, placing the box on one of the steps on your staircase.

you returned to the living room and grabbed your phone off of the couch.

"okay, true," shotaro said, and you turned off speakerphone and brought your phone up to your ear, "but you still could've at least came over when you woke up."

"well, you have to leave anyways for practice. then you'd complain more," you said to him as you walked out of the living room and upstairs to your room. "i can come over tonight if you want," you said to him.

you could practically feel shotaro's pout even though you were in a phone call.

"guess you don't want to cuddle then..."

"i didn't say that!" shotaro exclaimed, "when can you come over?" he asked.

"i have errands to run, so text me when you're back at your dorm?" you asked. he hummed in agreement. "so...see you later?" you asked.

"nooooo, don't hang up yet," he demanded, "i deserve something since you didn't come join me for cuddles."

"i'll be there later, doofus," you said to him. "how about you make a wish? and i'll grant it for you since i didn't come over."

"can i use my "make a wish" card later?" he asked.

"mhm," you hummed in response.

"perfect," he replied. then, you heard someone speak on his side, "now? i thought we were—hang on. y/n, i gotta go. see you later," he said to you.

"okay. bye, love you," you said to him.

"love you more, y/n," he said before ending the call.

some time had passed since your phone call with shotaro. you had left your house and donated the box of books you had packed earlier.

you were currently on your way to the company building to surprise shotaro, who was probably performing all of his cool dance moves at the moment.

you reached the building and parked your car in the parking lot. you got out of your car and locked it before heading inside the building.

once you made sure it was okay to go upstairs, you used the elevators to take you to the floor where some of the practice rooms were. once you arrived onto the floor, you walked to a set of double doors and opened one of them, popping your head inside.

music was playing from the speakers, but no one was dancing. you saw some of nct just sitting or laying around, most likely taking a break.

"oh, y/n!" ten exclaimed once he noticed you.

you waved and walked in, "hi."

"shotaro's pouting," haechan immediately mentioned, pointing toward the couch area, "he's been like this all day," he added.

you sighed and looked over at your boyfriend, who was indeed pouting with headphones in, staring at his phone screen.

"he's y/n deprived, again," sungchan said as he sat up from laying on the floor.

"very y/n deprived," jeno spoke up from his seat on the floor against one of the mirrors.

you walked over to the couch area, passing jaehyun, who was sitting on the edge of the couch. you walked in front of shotaro and immediately leaned in and hugged him, squishing his phone in between the two of you.

"hi," you said to him and kissed his forehead, earning an "eww" from one of the guys, most likely haechan.

"hi," shotaro said and immediately tugged you down to sit on his lap, "my wish came true," he said with an instant smile.

"it did? what was it?" you asked him.

"to hug you," he said and kissed you. you giggled as he tightened his arms around you. "love you."
