But I don't feel as empty
As I used to feel
I don't regret
What I did
Choosing to love
Was the best thing I did
Cause it filled me up with
So much more and
Opened me up
To healing my heart
Thank you for reminding me
What I forgot to see
About who I really am
To think I was on my knees
Begging for approval
While being forgetful
Of what I stand for
But everything happens
For a reason and
I needed a change of perspective
To see the light
That shines from within
Is this what
Falling in love
With life
Feels like ?
To feel content
In what I do
To find love
In all the little things
In life
To be grateful to be given
A chance
To live, to see and to cherish
All that I value and more
To feel accomplished
In my minor achievements
To be my own cheerleader
Pushing myself to become better
Not for you
But for me
Yes it's happening
Its time for me to glow
But I'm still just growing
Just quite getting there
But I do see the light
Over there
Right in front of my eyes
Even amidst all the
darkness around me
You know I don't
give up that easily
I can do this all over again
I'll stand right up
Cause that's what I always do
And I know I'm in the
Right direction
And everything will fall in place
With all its grace
It's just a matter of time
