Currently Artemis and Kid Flash were chained up and being hung upside down as the chain that was restraining them was wrapped around a beam up on the ceiling.
Artemis: *to Kid Flash* (So let's recap how we got up here, shall we? You ran off leaving everyone else behind, again. You fell face first into Animo's mutants and everyone else came running to save you, but when we were about to win, we both got grabbed by a giant bird. Missing anything so far?)
Kid Flash: (Well, technically I didn't fall into them. I bumped into them.)
Artemis: (That doesn't make it any better!)
Beneath the the two arguing heroes was Dr. Animo, who was twisting and turning the dials of a machine that was hooked up to a reactor. The machine then activated as a countdown began starting from sixty seconds.
Dr. Animo: This nuclear reactor is the perfect way to detonate my DNA bomb into the atmosphere and devolutionize the world!
Suddenly, the door leading to the reactor burst open revealing that Heatblast and the rest of the team were prepared to save Kid Flash and Artemis.
Heatblast: Okay, Animo, science class is cancelled!
Dr. Animo: Fool! In less than a minute, the world will get a lesson it will never forget. In the meantime, I believe you've met some of my creations.
An army of mutated animals which consisted of giant frogs, hamsters, birds and bugs came into the room and surrounded the entire team.
Aqualad: (Miss Martian is everyone linked?)
Miss Martian: (Yes.)
Aqualad: (Go!)
The team ran forwards and started to fight Animo's animal army. Aqualad took out one of his water bearers before transforming the water into a hammer before running forward and hitting one of the frogs with it. One of the hamsters ran towards Superboy and opened its mouth and tried to bite the half-Kryptonian.
Superboy raised his hands in the air and stopped the giant hamster from biting down on him, but it was pushing him back. Miss Martian used her telekinesis to rip some metal off of the walls and throw it at the birds. The birds managed to dodge her attack before flying straight towards her and raising their talons at her.
The birds were going to use their giant talons to dismember Miss Martian but a force field appeared around her, shielding her from their attacks. Miss Martian glanced over and saw that Rocket had placed a force field around her to shield her. Some of the frogs jumped into the air and shot its tongue towards the defenseless Rocket.
Zatanna: Grof, og retfa ruoy nwo dnik!
Zatanna casted a spell that made the frog that was about to attack Rocket take its tongue back into its mouth and drop towards the ground. The frog then turned around to the frogs that Robin was fighting against and stuck its tongue towards the frogs, knocking them away from the boy wonder.
Multiple bugs began to fly towards Heatblast and he quickly reacted by aiming his hand at some barrels. Heatblast sent a fireball towards the barrels causing a huge explosion that engulfed in the flying insects.
Heatblast: (Oh, yeah. It's barbecued bug for dinner.)
Heatblast's victory was short lived when the bugs flew through the smoke and fire and headed straight towards him. Heatblast quickly aimed both of his palms towards the ground and flew up into the air and sent multiple fire blasts at them. It caused another explosion but they flew through it like before.
