Song: Warriors by league of legends, 2wei, edda hayes

"Here we are, don't turn away now
We are the warriors that built this town
Here we are, don't turn away now
We are the warriors that built this town
From dust"

The ride was silent. So silent that it was starting to freak Kaminari out. He felt the sudden urge to say something, anything to break the rising tension in the enclosed space. His leg was bouncing up and down, an obvious sign of his growing discomfort. It was starting to feel a little stuffy in the bus, so he reached for the window panel near him, intending on sliding it open, hoping to feel a cool breeze.

But he was stopped by Shinso, who only stared at him with an eyebrow raised. "That's my window."

"It's hot in here," Kaminari whispered.

Shinso didn't budge, his hand still holding the window shut, "Don't care. My window. And I want it closed," He added, smirking a little as Kaminari glared at him, suddenly determined to beat Shinso and open that freaking window.

It wasn't until a few minutes later when Kaminari realized he suddenly didn't feel as anxious anymore, having been so caught up with beating his boyfriend.

It may not seem like a big deal in general, but it was a big deal to him. Kaminari sees the ghost of a smile, how Shinso's lip barely quirked up, his eyes looking out the window of the moving bus. Somehow his boyfriend had been so aware of Kaminari's distress, going as far as deescalating the situation, distracting Kaminari with something new. It made reality fade away for a while because at that moment, Kaminari was too busy play fighting with his boyfriend to think about their destination.

That's right— the destination.

The scenery had changed during the bus ride. Gone were the towering buildings, and instead, patches of green stood out. Mountains stretched out for miles and miles, and for a second, Kaminari got brought back to an old memory, one where he was excitedly ready to arrive at his first hero camp.

It had ended poorly.

But this time, he had hope— hope that it would end better, that the good side would win, once and for all.

Kaminari slumped against his seat, dejectedly looking at the back of Mina's head, focused on observing the way her curls bounced every time the bus hit a rough patch.

"So..." It was surprisingly Ojiro who broke the silence from the front of the bus, turning slightly in his seat to look at the entire class. "Are we not going to talk about the elephant in the room?" Ojiro's comment opened the bag of questions, people immediately talking, their voices overlapping. Even Iida couldn't do anything to calm down the sudden noise.

They were on their way to the scene of the battle, where it was presumed the army behind the League of Villain awaited, ready to unveil themselves and march on innocent soil. In this case, Class 2-A would be serving as the last line of defense. If the villains manage to get past the Pro Heroes, then it would be up to the heroes-in-training to protect the civilians that live on the other side of the mountain. Even though they weren't on the scene yet, all of the class could feel the brimming tension swallowing them up, making them drown in nerves. They spy Hawks flying overhead, probably making his rounds in search of any activity from the League. There's a burst of fire, and Endeavour is dropping down to the front of the ranks, his face stern and his eyes cold.

There were more heroes on the scene, moving around urgently. Some they recognized since they've worked with them before during internships and work-study. While others, they've never seen before. Those heroes were probably the overseas ones. The ones recruited to aid Japan in this battle.
