I figured out to where my gacha luck went. It went to Obey me! apparently. Or that game is just trying to make up for all the unlucky pulls I had before quitted it.

"Mr. Zhongli, you haven't... Huh?" With her bright red eyes Hu Tao stares at you and Zhongli who are still in the same close position as before.

As if her voice turned a switch inside you, you wake up from your stupor and back away from the Archon.

"Yes, it really is you (Y/N)!" She approaches you and envelops you in your second hug for today. "I missed you so so much! But Mr. Zhongli, didn't you say that they vanished or something? Have you been lying just to get some more private time with them?" Her tone and pouting face make it seem like she is joking but you can sense some seriousness in her question.

"No, we were reconciled only about an hour ago - and that by mere coincidence. I had no knowledge of their whereabouts just like you."

"Aw, I know that. You would have to be a great actor to play the role of the worried friend as well as you did the past few days." Hu Tao steps away to get a better look at you. "You look more muscular than last time... and you have a nice spear over there - did you train? And is it just me or do you look like you're blushing?"

Still overwhelmed by everything you keep silent.

"Maybe you should give them a chance to breathe. Even if I am rather curious myself about your mysterious friend who appeared all of the sudden out of nowhere, I do believe that a requested answer needs at least a small amount of time to be prepared properly."

Looking towards the direction of the new voice you see Xingqiu and behind him Chongyun. Both seem rather relaxed.

"My enthusiastic appearance has to be some challenge to them. After all, they disappeared as if they died - and that without any of my coupons~"

"Okay (Y/N), pull yourself together. Nothing happened a few moments ago. Nothing at all. Man, why am I getting so much attention in this world..." You clear your throat. "W-well, I might have run into a similar situation to the one we originally met, Hu Tao."

Hu Tao's scheming smile is replaced by shock. "Ay, what in the hell are you doing here in Liyue? Did you already have that many enemies before you came here or are you just exeptionally good at making them?"

"Ehh... technically none of those two have me on their sworn-enemy-list... They are just generally questionable."

"Are you dealing with criminals?", Xingqiu looks directly into your eyes.

"Yesn't. From my side there is no desire to have any contact with them business-wise. They, unfortunately, do and that is the core of the problem. If you can't hire someone the normal way, you do it by force."

"And what kind of role does the spear play in that story?"

"I got help from some adepti. The spear was part of that help."

Chongyun observes you thoroughly. "Xingqiu, don't they have some characteristics of someone out of a book?"

"Yes, I do see the resemblance. Though, someone of that type rarely receives a good ending. And even if they do, the way to that end is so distressing that such a life is not enviable."

You shudder. "Guys, please don't scare me."

"You don't need to worry, silly. This here isn't fiction so you don't need to worry to end up like the protagonist of a tragedy."

"For me your world was fiction for a really long time so I wouldn't exactly count on your argument..." Rosa senses your concern and floats next to you to rub itself against your cheeks. "You're right... Eh, anyways... has someone seen Aether by any chance?"

"Asking the same questions every time. But I guess he isn't any better. Occasionally, you can see him doing commissions or other small errands here in Liyue. Considering that this is already the second time you lost him, I wonder if it is some heavenly sign that you aren't meant to be together...", Hu Tao answers.

"Nah, I doubt that. Luck is just not on our side. Maybe I will have more of it in Inazuma."

This statement evokes Zhongli's interest. "You are planning to go to Inazuma?"

Intertwining her hands with yours, Hu Tao snuggles up to you. "That means we have to enjoy the time we have left with you! Xingqiu, Chongyun, you two have no problems if (Y/N) joins us today, right?"

Xingqiu shakes his head lightly. "No objections from my side."

"From mine neither."

"Then it is settled! Come on (Y/N), we have to make up for all the time we couldn't see each other~"

The girl wants to drag you with her but Zhongli stops her. "Wouldn't it be possible for them to stay with me?"

"But you already got your moment, Mr. Zhongli. It is only fair if I get mine now." The tension between the two increases by every second.

"Maybe it would be wise to leave that decision to (Y/N) themselves. It is their time after all." Zhongli fixes his eyes on you. "Don't forget the promise you gave me before you vanished."

"Huh? Don't listen to him. Whatever that promise was, you certainly prefer to have some fun time with me, Chongyun and Xingqiu, isn't that so?"
