Uh, hi, welp, it's been awhile. Here is a small recap,

Justice leaves home and goes to SNRC, where she learns of the supernatural.

After getting the attention of Caledon, Zane, and Malcus, she grows a relationship with them. As the story unfolds, odd events lead to the fae, who have been locked up by Zane's father.

After the fae named Forest revealed himself, Zane decides they should leave SNRC to figure out what they should do, but then reveals he doesn't want Justice to come back with them for her safety.

The chapter is kinda short, but the next ones will be longer, I have to get back into my groove.

I had my arms crossed angrily as I looked at my vampire, who paused his conversation to look at me. "Is there a problem?" Caledon asked, and I nodded.

"Yes, a certain moron thinks he can leave me behind," I said angrily.

Caledon shared a look with Fin, who raised his hands and stepped back, probably knowing he shouldn't stick around to hear what was going to be said. "And you don't agree with Zane?" His red eyes focussed on me.

"And you do?" I asked sharply.

Caledon gazed at me. "I think the three of us want you safe,"

I dug my nails into my palms and looked away from him stubbornly. Caledon grabbed my chin suddenly and I glared at him. "If that fae means you harm, are you simply trusting us to be able to protect you?" His words rung in my ears, and I shrugged away from him.

"I don't think he does," I admitted, and Caledon's eyes flashed red briefly.

"Be sure Zane doesn't hear you say that," the vampire warned me, voice on the edge of anger.

I ran a hand through my hair and turned my back on the vampire, making a sound in my throat. I wanted to go back to SNRC, whether they thought it was safe or not.

If the Fae was interested in hurting me, I was very certain he would have already. If anything, he just seemed oddly curious of me.

"Justice, you can't go back to SNRC if you're going to be in danger," Caledon told me, and I spun around to look at him shocked.

"I thought you were going to have my back!" I exclaimed, eyes flashing. Caledon scoffed and crossed his massive arms.

"Justice," he growled my name, and I glared up at him.

"Caledon," I mocked angrily. The vampire easily pushed me against the wall, hand suddenly on my throat and holding me still.

"Justice, I want you safe more than I want you with me, if that means you won't be around to be with us anymore." Caledon told me, hand tightening on my throat slightly, almost choking, but no quite.

"Since when did me being with you mean you got to make choices for me?!" I demanded and grabbed his arm, trying to push it off me. "I left home to be free- not to be controlled by someone else!" I snapped and tried to shove away from him.

Caledon let me go and gazed down at me as I crossed my arms over my chest protectivly. Caledon looked like he wanted to snap at me, and he turned his back, leaving me against the wall, trembling.

I watched him walk away, blinking tears from my eyes. I knew their was... 'danger' but I couldn't wrap my mind around the idea of not being with them at SNRC.

"You good?" The vampire named Fin asked, and I jumped turning to face him.

"You were listening?!" I demanded, eyes wide, wishing vampires weren't so sneaky.

He gestured to his ears. "You weren't exactly whispering, I'm sure the whole house heard you." He said and frowned as I gazed at the ground and sighed.

"If I was supernatural, do you think they'd be more willing to let me come back?" I asked and Fin shook his head.

"Probably not, they care for you, they'd be worried either way, hey," Fin nodded up the stairs. "River is in his office, he knows a lot about that kind of stuff, I'm sure he has some advice -" he stopped as Raven's scream filled the house.

"You bastard! The fuck did you say?" She yelled and I winced, shaking my head.

"I cannot survive here," I told Fin and touched my stomach as butterflies filled them. "Maybe I will talk to him,"

Fin nodded and winced. "I should go make sure everything is okay over there,"

We both nodded at each other and I took the stairs two at a time - testing fate with my clumsiness. I stopped in front of the big wooden door and knocked softly, some part of me praying the blue eyed vampire wouldn't answer.

"Yes?" He called and I opened the door, peeking my head in anxiously. "Oh, Justice, what is it?"

I shuffled inside and sat down in front of his desk nervously. "Do you treat Raven differently for being human?"

Something filtered over his face, and River looked thoughtful. "Of course I do, not that it's racism or anything, humans are more fragile, especially around supernatural. You're here because Zane wants you here, aren't you?"

I tilted my chin up, gathering my confidence. "I don't intend to stay in your house- imagine the extra trouble I'd cause with Raven?"

River looked amused by me. "Is that a threat, Justice?"

I blushed. "If it means that you'll help me out, then yes, it is."

River laughed and tossed a paper in the trash. "I see, well," his eyes softened as they gazed at me. "You remind me of Raven, maybe a little less hardened by her troubles though, I'll see what I can do, but I can't promise anything."

I nodded and stood. "Thanks, I have a kitten to get back too,"

River closed his eyes and smiled. "Good luck to you, Justice,"

I stepped and closed the door shrieking as I saw a shadow fall over me. I looked up, touching my chest. It was the really mean looking one, Cross, he seemed closest to Caledon, no control over his emotions.

"Uh, excuse me," I nervously stepped past him and squeaked when he touched my shoulders as I began moving past him.

Cross smiled at me, and it terrified me a little, "I have a little advice for you,"

I gulped and gazed at Cross. "O-oh?"

Cross nodded and motioned me closer, bending down to my ear.

Surprise filtered over my face at his words and I looked away nervously. "That sounds like a bad idea,"

Cross smirked and looked down at me. "Trust me, it'll work, what do you say?"

I tapped my fingers together, flustered. "Y-you won't do anything weird to me will you?"

His smirk grew. "If I did, you'd like it,"

Oh lord, this house is a den of demons, I swear,
