19- How Does Nerd Do In Eventful Days?

Thea's P.O.V.

Nanlaki ang mata ko when Jane entered the room. I didn't expect she'll be okay—oh, she's with Dare?

I'm confused. Pati ang iba may weird looking sa kanila, including Mel, but since the class is too busy, their issues
died in a blink of an eye. I guess it's just me and everyone who are worried about Dare and Jane's issue ang di makakakimot sa nangyari kahapon.

"Anong nangyayari?" Bulong ni Jane nang dumaan sa gilid ko.

Ngumiti ako. "Talent month is coming. Kaka-announced lang, everyone is excited about it."

Talent month is for all students. Time to show a hidden talent, a program for whole month. It's not fancy dahil walang grand prize or anything. Just a boost of confidence to get discover.

Jane only observed others while nodding multiple times. Hindi pa ata niya alam.

"Jane, masaya 'to. May events."

"I know. Dadami na naman ang tao dito." She worriedly whispers.

How'd she know?

"Yeah, other than that, we have a new student." I happily shared the news. I didn't notice I am holding her hand like a fan girl. "Someone said they saw Hayley! Oh my gosh, it must be her!"

Nagtaka siya. "Hayley? Paano? Diba 'yan iyung Xena?"

"Yes! Yes! You're right!" I hold my pitch as I freaked out. "May nakakita sa kaniyang tumatakbo yesterday sa parking lot! Can't you believe it?"

"Hindi." Flatly, she shakes her head. "Hindi ko naman kilala 'yun."

Oh, I forgot she's a new student. She didn't know Hayley.

It's okay! It's okay! I think that's my role to inform her sa lahat ng di niya alam.

"Don't worry, Hayley is a cool girl! The best siya sa lahat ng the best! I can't even describe her but—but look at that!" I secretly point at the back.

There are Theo and Sam informing Dare about the news. He looked shock but had his smirk on. They're all hyped out. The fire in the bad boys are starting to grow from being challenged. It's Hayley. No one can predict what she'll do next. She's a very intriguing person.

"Look, Dare is so happy, and so everyone is. Jane, don't worry. You won't be bullied anymore. Hayley will protect you. She'll be your saviour! I'm sure Dare will be completely challenge by her, and it'll be okay. Kayang-kaya siya ni Hayley."

I exaggerated some parts, pero okay lang! Di pa naman niya kilala si Hayley, okay lang ang high expectations. Especially now that she is Dare's target. It will help to lessen her worries. There'll be hope for her.

"Hay, naku." She silently rubs on her forehead bago nagtaklob ng kamay sa ulo at tumungo.

Why is she reacting like this?

She shouldn't be disappointed.

"Don't be like that. Have some hope, you're about to see the coolest person of the Marven's High! Look," I pointed at the guys again. "Sam is also happy. I bet he didn't think about the problem yesterday. He's more likely Dare, kaya ligtas ka na. They won't bother you anymore when Hayley is here."

Looking at all the bad boys, I notice that they have different reactions. May iba't iba rin pala silang personality, but Carl got more my attention. He and his slight smile.

"There's also Carl who's half happy and serious. Dinig ko he doesn't want a new seatmate, but the bastard is a lucky one pagnakatabi niya si Hayley."

I blink many times. I didn't mean the last sentence.
