Cale walked past the walls of the mansion towards the garden where his mother's roses bloomed.

That place had been like a small sanctuary for him. A place where he could bask under the warmness without feeling misplaced in the family of brown haired individuals.

He often went there when he felt frustrated or melancholic of the days where things felt more in picture.

Today was no different than those other days.

No one to bother him,

No one that will keep one nagging about the successor position,

Not even Ron and his lemonades in sight,

It was just himself and the roses,

...

But maybe, fates had other plans for him that day.

Across the bushes filled with thorns, was a familiar shade of red.

Cale stared at the figure for a while, he even blinked several times trying to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

Another person who had red hair... was something he never heard nor saw before in the Hennitus territory. As far as he knew, only his mother and him had it. Magic? Hair dye? None of those thoughts came across Cale's head at that time.

He was far too occupied about the existence of this red haired individual.

That person also seemed to have noticed Cale's presence.

They stared at each other. and in that moment, Cale could take note of several things.

The other person had red hair similar to his, except it was longer. He also looked a bit older than Cale was currently, maybe 14? 15? (Cale is around 9-ish) and was wearing a white mask that was covering half of his upper face and a black cloak covering his entirety.

"Who are you?" Cale asks, since no matter how curious he was, he was still the count's son... he can't show weakness towards strangers.

"I am... Bob," the stranger answered,

Cale immediately knew it was a lie,

"Ok then 'Bob' what are you doing within the jurisdiction of the Henituse mansion? as far as I know, Father didn't invite any guests today"

"I was just passing by," 'Bob' answered,

"Is that so?"

"Yes, and who might you be?"

Cale didn't miss a beat when answering, "First son of the Count Henituse, Cale Henituse"

There had been a traitor under his rule,

White Star had lived for hundreds of years, soon to be a thousand in just several more decades. He had his fair share of back stabbing and betrayals. So finding another wasn't that surprising.

The annoying part came when that betrayal happened. The traitor's had planned it well.

Sayeru and Dorph were currently doing their own mission to prepare the ritual to help him reconnect to the Ancient powers he had gathered. Meaning, other than the minimal amount of insects around him, he was pretty much in a defenseless position.

White Star used his wind's ancient power to catch up to the dashing vampire.

It was bad enough he hadn't got time to absorb even 40% of his already acquired ancient power, he hadn't had enough time to adjust to his new body! And there was already things he had to take care of personally.
