Dressed in a black dress, Maria stands with a blank expression on her face as Lily helps her fix her brunette hair that is curled down her shoulders with some pieces at the front clips back. Maria is wearing black heels and a dress that's fitted around her top half but flares down to her thighs after the hips. She's also wearing a short, black cardigan and the dark colours make her skin look even paler than it is.

Lily is wearing a black dress that is loose and light, fitting over her now large baby bump and her red hair is straight down her back.

"You look lovely." Lily smiles, squeezing Maria's shoulders and Maria offers the Evans-Potter girl a small smile. "Ready?"

"Yeah." Maria nods, taking Lily's hand in hers as the girls walk down the stairs of Lily and James' home in Godrics Hollow, seeing James and Remus stood in their black suits in the front hall.

Regulus and Maria hadn't talked much. He had took her home the day of the attack and sat on the sofa with her in silence for at least an hour whilst she leaned onto his side and shed tears over the cheerful Prewett twins. In that moment, Regulus had disregarded the fact that they were supposed to be fighting and awkward, rubbing his warm hand up and down her arm and resting his chin on her head, occasionally pressing a kiss on top of it and whispering things like that everything will be okay.

Remus smiles at the Potter girl who immediately leans into his side for a hug. It seems as though every smile today will be a sullen one. Remus then lets Maria go so that she can tightly embrace her brother, whilst the werewolf kisses Lily on the cheek quickly.

"Sirius is meeting us there, he's helping Marlene and Dorcas with Mary." James says and Maria nods, linking her arm through Lily's as the quartet stroll out of the door.

Since the Prewett family don't have a cemetery near their home, they decided to bury the twins in Hogsmead's cemetery because of how much time the twins spent in the wizarding village.

So, appearing in the street beside the small church, Maria swallows and they hear someone quickly approaching them.

"Sorry I'm late." Regulus breathes, pecking Lily on the cheek in greeting and his eyes go to her swollen stomach. "Wow. Really getting big—the baby I mean, I'd never call you big because you're a lady and—"

"Okay, just help me up these stairs and I'll forget you ever implied anything." Lily says with a small roll of her green eyes.

"Absolutely." He says quickly, glancing at Maria who offers him a small yet grateful smile. She had asked him to come, just because she wants to hold his hand whilst the eulogies are being spoke. Regulus nods, taking Lily's hand and placing his other hand behind her back, helping the now heavily pregnant red head up the stairs leading into the church.
