The soft hum of the motor found its way seeping through the quiet air. Eric decided to take his car to cover more ground. Even though cars weren't invented a few thousand years ago, he found pleasure in driving one around. He never could seem to remember what model the car was. But he did know it was the same car they used on the Ray Donavan show (Cadillac CT6-V). He was sure he remembered the model of the car for good reasons. Not a scratch on the beautiful, lustrous, black paint. It almost looked brand new and untouched. But it has been a while since he drove it around.

The pleasure of driving around with no rules was quite enjoyable. No traffic lights, no police, no tickets, everything was perfect. Not to mention, he really didn't care if he ran over another vampire.

He knew they were animals, not to mention the female vampires were sex hungry. It was rather. . . revolting. No matter what, there was no stopping them.

Eric slowly drove around the desolated vehicles that were left. Most of the cars were now dust collectors, meanwhile most had many dead leaves on the windshield. Eric took a more quiet route than the ones with easy roads. He knew this was the hunting grounds, but what a better way to hide your clinic.

The car soon came to a halt.

"Shit. . ." Eric cursed to himself, as he saw many vehicles blocking the middle of the road. There was no way through, and no way around it. He knew that the vehicles were not here from before. It was suspicious, due to the fact this was not here last week he visited the clinic. Eric pulled the keys out of the ignition and stepped out of the car. He gently placed his hand on the top of the door and gave it a small shove. With a small *click* sound, he knew it was closed. There was no need to lock the car, considering it wasn't worth much anymore.

He propped his body up, and over the car - - in the process, he heard a tearing sound. Once both of his feet were on the ground, he couldn't help but stare at the back of his calve. There was a small tear in the leg of his pants. He couldn't help but curse to himself. It was a simple mistake, but it could easily be fixed. Eric was just glad he didn't cut himself.

He looked back to the car he hurdled over, to see a small bit of the torn fabric on the sharp edge of the car.

Eric soon ignored the fact he ruined another pair of pants and kept walking. He knew the clinic wasn't that far away, maybe another two blocks. Eric knew the doctor of the clinic, ever since he moved to New York. It was in the middle of the night when he was attacked by a dog. He wandered too far into an area he was investigating. His arm was almost gnawed to pieces. There was no hospital nearby but a small clinic. Unsteadily, he had no choice but to abandon his investigation and hobble over to the nearby clinic. A man sat on the local bench on the outside of the clinic. He brought a cigarette up to his lips. A small ember glow broke the darkness of the street as it emitted a small mist of smoke off the end.

Eric suddenly halted in front of the doctor. The smell of fresh iron filled Connor's nose. The doctor knew who the man in front of him was.

"Is this medical clinic still open?" Eric asked, as the doctor brought the cancer stick up to his lips and took a puff.

"Yes, it is." Connor knew who this man was. Not just because he was a vampire as well as Eric. Connor was an underrated doctor that could track the scent of what genes were in blood.

Eric well knew that Connor was the doctor of this place, not just because of the name tag. The lab coat gave everything away. Connor ran his hand through his dark locks before he stood up and addressed the prince.

"Well. . . come on in, Your Highness." Connor dropped his cigarette and crushed it under his boot. Eric watched as the small flame of the cigarette was extinguished. He then followed the man into the clinic.
