Chapter Seven

Sighing while sitting on a corporate plane where I was surrounded by humans that were mostly on their phone or laptops watching or working on whatever their life is surrounded around right now. A flight attendant came by and offered me a drink, I picked a dirty vodka martini and I sighed sinking into my chair with a blanket draped across my legs.

"We're landing in Oklahoma in two hours, miss." her soft voice squeaked at me while she blushed, did she find me attractive? Smiling at her I nodded and let her finish her job. The guy next to me was snoring with his mouth open. Oh this man is gross... his shirt was covered in stains while his breath that escaped his mouth was more like dragon's breath that was breathing cruel fire. Shifting away from him, very thankful there was a seat between us I turned away from him to be able to sleep peacefully.

Sitting up my body ached in pain as I rubbed my head while looking around, god this is horrible. My wolf was laying next to me while whining at me and licking my cheek trying to comfort me. Petting her fur it felt nice to actually pet her for once, but then I realized I killed her in my last dream. Shifting around quickly in the field I stood up quickly dusting myself and my wolf started to vanish in front of me, "Oh my god Kaiya!" I went out to grab her, but she was already gone. Suddenly a person stood in front of me, but I couldn't exactly make out their facial features, but they sounded eerily similar to me. Their hand snatched my throat quicker than I could process and they squeezed their mouth smiled as their tongue ran over their lips with a smack, "I could eat you right now." the dark figure brought me to their mouth and sank their fangs into my neck and with a snap, I was dead.

"Ma'am?" the flight attendant touched my shoulder as I jumped from my dream and I was rubbing my neck as it had a lingering pain. Odd, maybe I slept on my neck wrong, "Your flight is over." Rubbing my face I got up and thanked her while grabbing my carry-on and exiting the plane.

Jogging over to the flight board I saw my flight had about two hours until my flight was boarding so I walked around to find me some food. Ooh, a sub shop, just what I could use. Telling the sandwich maker my order and the teenager rang me out with a smile. Giving me my receipt with his number on it I scoffed reading it, "Sorry, kid, but you're not my type." his face blushed as he disappeared to the back. Going around to my next flight terminal I sat by the wall with my phone plugged in and I ate my sandwich in content.

Getting onto my plane and sitting down I sat on a row by myself. Oh thank the Moon Goddess for this. Sighing in content I thrummed my thumbs against the back of my phone waiting for take off, "I'm sorry for being late."

A deep voice came from the entrance to the plane and he made his way to my row, looking at his ticket and then looking, "Excuse me, miss. My seat is right beside the window there."

"Oh, sorry." I said quietly while moving so this beautiful man could go to the seat by the window. He got settled in and looked at me, "My name is Gipsy, yours?"

Smiling towards me I noticed how straight and white is teeth are, "Ah, mine is Mason. Nice to meet you... have you ever been to Washington before?"

Nodding my head in return, "Yes, it's my homeland. I just went on vacation and I'm finally returning back home." I said getting quieter as I went on.

"You don't sound too happy about that, Gipsy," his concerning eyes looked at me, "You don't have to go back if you don't want to."

Shrugging my shoulders I looked at him more intensely, "I mean, yes, but family is everything where I'm at. Can't do anything without them there... you could say my family is very large."

"Ah, I know how that is. I have seven cousins and three other siblings to share my life with. I'm going to Washington because one of my siblings moved here not too long ago and I haven't seen him since."

Smiling, "It's really beautiful up there. The trees, the fog that likes to roll in, it gives the environment a different feeling of comfort." I sighed realizing I'm going to miss home a lot more than I thought I would.

"Sounds like you already miss it before you even actually left it to enjoy your own life. Try and take some risks, Gipsy. The reward will be worth it," his hand suddenly moved to my knee and he pat it.

Thankfully the flight wasn't too long after our chat, we exchanged numbers but I don't think I'd ever call him unless I wanted to catch up on him. Leaving the plane we shook hands as mutuals and went our two separate ways. Getting into a taxi I was on my way to my pack and I couldn't be happier to be back, but also nervous as what's to come.
