Hyunsuk ran into the motel room, chest heaving. He nearly crashed into Seunghun with his sharp turn, and Sunghun held out a hand to steady him.
"What's going on with you?" he asked.
Hyunsuk continued his laboured breathing, clearly frazzled by something. "I was out on a walk," he started, gasping for air, "as I usually do..." Gasp. "But I then I saw..." Gasp. "Police."
"Police," Seunghun repeated.
"Police." Seunghun led Hyunsuk to the bed, where he sat down. "I had to dart into an alley... but I heard a few things. They're looking for us."
"Wait." Jinyoung, silent as always in his seat, perked up. "The police... know that we're here?"
"You tell me," Hyunsuk shrugged.
Yonghee even sat up. "So we're sitting ducks now."
"No point in trying to move anywhere else," Byounggon noted. "We'd get stopped immediately at the train station, let alone the difficulty of getting there without the police finding us."
"I don't think we should move either," Jinyoung agreed. "What would it even do for us?"
Yonghee giggled for a moment.
Seunghun turned his head. "What? What's so funny?"
"Nothing," Yonghee responded stoically, but a small exahale came through his nose. "But I guess you could say that... the popo are in Gimpo."
"Out." Byounggon pointed to the door.
"Oh, you laughed," Yonghee said smugly, crossing both his arms and legs as he leaned back onto the bed. "God, I'm going to miss these shitty beds."
"I think a bed in jail would be more comfortable," Hyunsuk commented. "In my humble opinion."
"Maybe you're right." Yonghee settled into the cushions more. "Just maybe."
