Ichiro had decided to go to Mondstadt first before heading to Liyue, knowing that his journey and discussion in Liyue would prove to be more longer than Mondstadt so he decided to head to Mondstadt first to visit a certain someone.

The carriage was slowly but surely passing by Mondstadt but as Ichiro was enjoying the scenery, a huge black smoke had caught his attention.

"Klein!" Ichiro shouted, halting the carriage. The coachman, Klein, had turned around. "Yes, my lord?" He asked. Ichiro stepped out of the carriage ignoring Klein who was calling out to him.

As he approached the source of the huge black smoke, he was met with a village that was mostly burned down to the ground to nothing but ashes.

Ichiro looked around for any survivors but found nothing but ashes. But as he was about to climb back into the carriage, a figure lying on the ground by a tree caught his attention. The figure was leaning on the tree for support and was covered with smoke.

Ichiro could hear a faint sound of sobbing and whimpering coming from the figure. As he came closer, Ichiro fanned out the smoke surrounding the body to reveal a woman, with the upper right portion of her face, mostly burned.

Ichiro looked down to the woman's hands to see faint flickering of fire as Ichiro felt a strong elemental energy coming from the woman but saw no vision.

'So she was the one who had caused the fire.' Ichiro concluded as he knelt down in front of the whimpering woman.

Ichiro looked at the delusion by his waist. Currently, the only element stored in the mask was Cryo since it was easier to obtain and experiment on because of Ruichiro but Ichiro had planned to store more and possibly all the elements inside of it.

Ichiro took his delusion from his waist and had strapped it on the woman's face. As the delusion took affect on her, the woman couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief as she felt her entire body cool down. The woman opened her eyes to see to see Ichiro looking softly at her.

"Feeling better now?" Ichiro asked as the woman could only nod in response. "Hm, good. Now, can you tell me your name?" He softly asked.

"R-Rosalyne." The woman whispered to him as Ichiro nodded. "Well, Rosalyne, would you like to come with me? I could give you a ride back to Mondstadt?" Ichiro offered but the woman immediately shook her head.

"N-no... Please no, anywhere but Monstadt." She cried as Ichiro immediately nodded. "Okay, okay. It's alright. We won't go back to Mondstadt. Then, I'll just take you with me for now, I'm travelling for a bit. Is that alright with you?" Ichiro asked as Rosalyne hesitantly nodded.

"Alright, can you walk?" Ichiro asked her. As he saw how she had struggled to even sit up, Ichiro immediately stopped her.

"No, no. It's alright. I'll just carry you to the carriage, alright? You're still healing. That mask is going to help you cool down but it won't entirely heal you." Ichiro explained as he scooped her up and carried her back into the carriage.

Klein, who was waiting for Ichiro by the carriage, was confused to see him carrying a woman by his arms but decided not to question it.

As the carriage started to move, Ichiro spoke up. "We won't be going into the city of Mondstadt directly but I do have to make a quick stop by Windrise, is that alright with you?" Ichiro asked her to which she meekly nodded.

After a few moments of silence she spoke up. "Wh-what is this mask?" She asked him.

"Hm? Oh, that is a delusion. It's a mask that contains an element within it. It's similar to a vision but it's much more dangerous and is man made." Ichiro explained as the woman nodded along. As the woman gazed outside the passing scenery outside the carriage, Ichiro couldn't help but discreetly glance at the woman.

'It's a complete miracle that she can even handle the delusion's strength. It usually causes great pain to ordinary mortals as it takes the user's life force at an immense pace. The fact that she didn't even wince in pain from the delusion and even relaxed when placed on her is truly amazing.' Ichiro thought as he glanced at the woman who was oblivious to his staring.

"Probably because it cancels out her uncontrollable power?" Ruichiro suggested.

'Probably.' Ichiro thought.

As the carriage came onto a stop a few feet from Windrise, Ichiro took out a bouquet of Cecilia flowers from his bag and stepped out.

"Stay here, I won't be long." Ichiro told her before closing the door and walking towards huge tree behind the statue of the seven.

Ichiro knelt in front of the tree and placed the bouquet of Cecilia flowers by its roots. As Ichiro was about to leave, a certain bard stopped him.

"Leaving already?" The bard asked as Ichiro internally groaned. "What do you want?" Ichiro muttered, wanting to get out of the situation as soon as possible.

The bard chuckled. "Now, now. Is that how you talk to a dear friend who had gladly did you a favor?" He teased as Ichiro rolled his eyes.

"Not if that 'dear friend' helped destroy my nation, no." Ichiro said, not turning around as he heard the bard sigh behind him.

"Well, at least you see me as a dear friend." Barbatos muttered to himself as Ichiro rolled his eyes and chose not to reply.

"He really does need to set his priorities straight." Ruichiro muttered bitterly.

"I'll be going now then," Ichiro said as he started to walk away. Barbatos sighed as he gazed up on the large tree.

"What would she think about our situation?" He asked as he kept his gaze up on the tree before looking back at Ichiro who still refused to face him. Ichiro stopped and froze as he grew more irritated at the bard.

"Tch. She'd think you're a heartless, two faced jerk that is a weak slave to the beings above." Ichiro spat before angrily walking away from Barbatos.

Barbatos sighed before looking back at the tree. "I don't think we'll be able to get back to the way things were, Vennessa."

As Ichiro entered the carriage he was about to slam the door close in anger but stopped himself as he noticed that Rosalyne was now sound asleep.

Ichiro sighed and lightly closed the door as the carriage started to move once again.

This time, its destination was now to Liyue.

A/N: I've been so stressed with school work since deadlines are approaching that I completely forgot to update yesterday.

Also, I may be editing the previous chapters since I just notice that Mondstadt had a "d" after the "n" but for now I don't think I'll be changing it much.
