it had been months since what happened
it's been months since onjo lost all the important people in her life
her dad, her best friends, and her soulmate
you had saved her life, zombies were running for them, and one of them knocked onjo down, ready to bite her but you jumped on the zombie, resulting in it biting you instead
when you realized you were bit, you shouted to all of them to run, you would distract the zombies and they would be saved
onjo cried and screamed, she wouldve ran towards you, had it not been for hyoryung and suhyeok holding her back
when isak died, cheongsan, or even her dad, she never cried as much as when you gave her a smile, shouting and running the opposite way
she truly felt like you were her soulmate, it was almost like those books she read, soulmates that could feel each others pain, to her, it felt like she was biten in that moment, it felt like she was going to die, and she wished she did
she wishes you both could've survived, or even died together, you'd meet in the next life, cause you were soulmates
as she snuck over the wall of the quarantine camp, placing the snacks around the tree, she places another note on it
"i miss you, y/n, come back to me, i love you so much"
she tried not to cry, she's reminded of you everyday, she thinks of you before she sleeps, and even writes thousand word letters, as if you'd ever respond back
before she goes to leave she spots the old school, but with a fire on top, she's reminded of the campfire they set that night...and when you two cuddled together, saying that it's cause she was cold, but it was obviously a excuse to cuddle with you
the next day her and suhyeok (and the others, which she told him not to bring) went to the school
standing on the rooftop brings her memories, from before the zombies, you two would hide there during lunch, giggling about something the other did, kissing each other gently on the lips, she missed that
"you guys made it" onjo and the others stare at namra, who smiled softly at them
they talk for a bit, namra telling them there were others like her, not human, but not zombie either, and when she says that, she looks directly at onjo with a slight smirk
"come here tomorrow alone, onjo, i have something you would want to see" onjo breathes out a breath she didn't know she was holding, could she mean...?
"i have to go now, they'll be here soon" namra ignored the others questions, jumping off of the roof as the others stare after her
onjo hardly sleeps that night, questions of could namra have meant you were there? she couldn't possibly wait
when the time came, onjo snuck off with a giddy feeling, she hoped her assumption was right, otherwise this would be awkward
when she reaches the roof, the fire is out, and there's no one around, but then someone taps her on the shoulder
she turns around and freezes when she sees the one she's missed for months, her partner, her soulmate
you chuckle at her reaction, onjo all but flings herself into your arms, causing you to stumble a bit
"woah there! not even a i missed you?" you laugh, hugging her back
she sniffles "you have no idea" she mumbles against your chest
"i missed you too, once i woke up and i was like this, all I could think about was you" you admitted "but i stayed behind, i hoped you had made it to safety, and im so glad you did" you kissed her head
"when namra found me, i was a mess, asking about you, but she assured me you were fine" onjo looks up at you, silence overtaking as you stare into each others eyes, finally she wraps her arms around your neck, bringing you down to kiss you
she felt like she was whole again, having missed a piece of herself for months, and she finally got it back
you part after a minute, but still hold on to each other, unwilling to part
"i love you but, you should go back, you don't wanna get in trouble" you caress her face
"i don't wanna" she whines, pushing herself back into your arms, you laugh
"still as childish as ever, i see" she pouts
"fine! but ill be visiting every single day!" she laughs
"okay, okay, but we should meet somewhere else, maybe our old classroom?" she nods quickly
"anywhere is fine as long as i get to see you!"
"you're so cute, here, ill walk you out, come on" you hold her hand as you both walk down the stairs, talking animatedly about anything, you just smile, happy that she still loves you just as much as you love her
